Tuesday Trigger: A Citrus Celebration

I am loving the bright, springy colors of this week's Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2011/03/tuesday-trigger-citrus-celebration.html  as I look out the window watching the snow storm outside.

The colors and fun polka dots are what inspired me.  The polka dot paper is the inside of a card from a pack I had picked up a couple of years ago.  All stamps used on this are from the set Square Pegs from Gina K designed by Melanie Muenchinger.  The cupcake was stamped twice, once with Memento Pear Tart on the polka dot cs and once on some checked yellow digi dp then paper pieced together.  The frosting looked too dull, so colored with a brighter yellow Prismacolor marker then covered with Sakura yellow glaze pen.  The pennants are actually the Christmas trees from the same set, stamped with VersaColor Orange pigment ink then heat embossed with clear ep.  Cut the "trees" out and layered onto the polka dots to form a banner.  The candles are a Sizzix die from the Birthday Knockout pack.  Cut the candles out then colored with Prismacolor markers and added Stickles in Diamond to the flames.  Glued the cupcake on top of the candles then onto the yellow and orange circle layers that were cut with Nesties.  The ribbon was adhered to a narrow strip of cardstock then run through a crimper, which is hard to see in the photo.  Last of all, I stamped the "celebrate" in the upper left corner in SU Only Orange.

Thanks for stopping by!

This card is so cute. I have been going through the links and so far this is the BEST(in my humble opinion). Great job.
