Blast from the Past Blog Hop

Today we are helping Tami Mayberry end her month long Blast from the Past with a customer blog hop. Tami is an illustrator for Gina K Designs; and, if you haven't been to her blog this month to see all of the featured ideas using her stamp sets, you'll want to be sure and stop by today. You could win FIVE of her stamp sets simply by leaving comments on her blast from the past posts. You can click here to find more details.

Here is a list of all of the blog hop participants.

If you didn't come here from Vicki Dutcher's blog, you'll want to start back at the beginning on Tami's blog because each comment left on the blog participants' blogs will also count as an entry into the random drawing for the 5 stamp sets being given away.
Tami's set Live Life Loud.  The gradient rectangle was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on GK PL White cs, then stamped the floral and flourish image over that,  sponged that piece with Memento Dandelion, Cantelope and Rose Bud.  Stamped the guitar separately, cut out, colored with Prismacolor markers and layered over the rectangle.  Stamped the border directly on the K & Co dp.  Cut the sentiment layers out with Nesties and added Sakura gel pen dots in black.

Oh Boy! has been one of my favorite sets since I have 3 young grandsons.  The dp is a freebie from Two Peas in a Bucket.  Colored the helocopter with Prismacolor markers, cut out with Nesties Wonky Rectangles, left it in the die and traced around the inside rim with a turquoise gel pen.  Cut out the clouds and sun and placed them in the "sky".  Added a strip of Rocket Red cs, punched holes and added the yellow eyelets.

Another one using Oh Boy!  Again colored with Prismacolor markers.  I also used one of the stars from Stars.  The pennant was made by stamping one of the larger Stars on the back side of some dp and cut the triangle pieces off, flipped them over and strung them across the corner.  The tail on the sentiment was made using a square punch.

And last I used Happy Hearts.  Stamped the larger heart with Memento Rich Cocoa and the small one with Vivid Taupe.  I've had this dp forever and decided I better use some up.  The tiny scallops are the edge of some paper, self-adhesive lace. The hearts layer was cut with Nesties and Layered onto the Nesties scalloped circle.  Added 3 copper brads and the sentiment piece.  CS:  Gina K Pure Luxury Ivory and Chocolate Brown

Now, hop on over and visit Michelle Woerner for more ideas using stamp sets by Tami Mayberry and another chance to win. Also, If you have Tami's stamps and missed the deadline to sign up for the hop you can still play along by leaving a link on her blog.

CASE Study Challenge

Check out the inspiration challenge over at CASE Study  http://casestudychallenge.blogspot.com/2011/04/case-study-challenge-36.html

Here is the inspiration card

My inspiration came from the layout.  I used 2 rectangle layers and a circle layer.  I received the old man golfer image through Wish RAK over at SCS.  He is colored with Prismacolor markers and added a little clear glaze pen to his sunglasses.  The yellow layer is embossed with large dots CB folder.  The numbers layer is from DCWV Grade School stack.  The 50 is die cut from a Quick Kutz die, adhered to the white circle, layered onto a black circle then outlined with a red Sakura Stardust gel pen.  The card base and the mats on the layers are Gina K Pure Luxury Rocket Red.

In My Beautiful Balloon

Moxie Fab has a challenge to use hot air balloons  http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2011/03/next-moxie-fab-world-challenge-in-my.html

I had just received the balloon stamp set by Studio G through Wish RAK over at Splitcoaststampers from thumbunny.  I thought it would be fun to incorporate it in this farm scene from Funny Farm by Gina K Designs.  The farm scene was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Prismacolor markers.  Then the grass was sponged with green ink to give it some dimention.  I also received the die cut fence through Wish RAK.  Colored the cow and cut him out and placed him outside the fence.  Cardstock used Gina K Pure Luxury White and Rocket Red, SU Green Galore and a freebie digi paper from Two Peas in a Bucket.

Mojo Monday Sketch #186

Another great sketch at Mojo Monday http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2011/04/mojo-monday-186.html

I had this fun, free digi dp from Two Peas in a Bucket.  The apple basket is a freebie from Taylored Expressions.  I printed the apple basket then colored it with Prismacolor markers, cut it out, layered on white and Taken With Teal cs.  The sentiment and dotted circle are from Just Rite Stampers, the sentiment was stamped with Vivid Teal and the dotted circle with Memento Lady Bug.  The red dotted ribbon is by Bo Bunny, the dots are on both sides, gotta love that.  The sentiment was punched out and layered onto a punched scalloped circle.  The first yellow button that I pulled out of my button jar was the perfect color and tied some packing string through it.  Used the same packing string wrapped 3 times and tied at the top.  The scalloped border is a Nestabilities die.

Mojo Monday Sketch #185

Mojo Monday has a great sketch this week, you can find it here  http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2011/04/mojo-monday-185-contest.html

All stamps are by Gina K DesignsLive Life Loud by Tami Mayberry and Vintage Borders by Nina Brackett.  The drum set was stamped with Versamark then heat embossed with detail black ep.  Cut it out with a Nestabilities circle and layered it onto a red inverted scalloped circle.  I didn't add the bow because I thought it might make it too feminine.  Cardstock:  Gina K Pure Luxury Rocket Red and White, black.  The brads weren't quite the right color so I colored them with a Prismacolor marker.  Found the polka dot ribbon buried in my ribbon stash.  The sentiment layer was punched with a square punch to form the banner tails.  The black ink I used is VersaFine Black.
