Simple Vintage

Day 3 of the CPS Anniversary!  Here is the sketch  http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/2012/01/cps-5th-anniversary-day-3-with-angie.html

I used the Gina K Sets Vogue Vases, Timeless Textures and Lovely Labels 2.  The Lovely Label was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with black ep.  Cut the center out with a circle die.  Stamped the flowers with Memento Bamboo Ink and colored with Touch Twin Markers, stamped the Timeless Textures over the top with Distress Antique Linen ink,  then added pearls to the flower centers.  The sentiment is stamped in Memories Black ink and cut out with Nesties Petite Ovals.  The background is Core'dinations Black Magic embossed with a CB folder and lightly sanded.  Cardstock used is Gina K Pure Luxury Ivory

This is also for the Frames Challenge #135 at Creative Belli  http://bellichallenge.blogspot.com/2012/01/challenge-136-frames.html
And the Stamp TV Challenge to use pins or pearls  http://stamptv.ning.com/forum/topics/mix-it-up-monday-pins-or-pearls

CPS Annversary

Congratulations to CPS on their 5th anniversary!  Day 1 of their celebration uses this sketch  http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/2012/01/cps-5th-anniversary-day-1-with-tami.html

This also fits the Free For All Friday Challenge at Stamp TV  http://stamptv.ning.com/forum/topics/free-for-all-friday-stamped-flower.  You are to use at least 2 shapes on your card plus a stamped flower.  I used Gina K's Happy Hearts by Tami Mayberry for the image and layered 5 different shaped dies.  Stamped the heart with Vivid Teal and then again in Memento Tangelo, cut the flower out of the orange and layered onto the teal heart.
This also fits The Crazy Challenge - Flowers http://crazychallenge.blogspot.com/2012/01/cch-104-flowers.html

On to Day 2 of the CPS Anniversary with this sketch  http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/2012/01/cps-5th-anniversary-day-2-with-linda.html

This is for a first time pregnancy done in gender neutral colors.  I used the rocking horse from
Gina K's Oh Baby!  The horse is colored with Touch Twin Markers.  Cut out and layered with Nestie circles and open scalloped circle.  The background dp is by My Minds Eye and the strip across the center is a piece from my stash.

Both of these cards also fit the Lily Pad Challenge - Simon Says Stamp Presents a Patterrned Paper Challenge  http://www.lilypad.inlinkz.com/2012/01/27/simon-says-stamp-presents-a-patterned-paper-challenge/

CASE Study CAS

I love the inspiration card for this weeks CASE Study Challenge  http://casestudychallenge.blogspot.com/2012/01/case-study-challenge-75.html

My take on this card

I stamped one of the stitches stamps from the Gina K set In Stitches in various rainbow colors.
The heart was stamped with a Michael's $ chevron stamp then colored with Touch Twin Markers and then covered with a Sakura Stardust gel pen.  The sentiment from Stampin Up's Happy Everything was stamped in Brilliance Black.

Thanks for stopping by!

This is for a Groundhog's Day birthday.  I put the gray clouds on here so the groundhog wouldn't see his shadow.  The fun colors and hearts were used to girl it up a little.  This is also for the challenge at Touch Twin Markers with the theme Winter  http://touchtwinchallenges.blogspot.com/2012/01/ttc09-touch-twin-marker-challenge-part.html

BIG Birthdays

I needed a couple of cards for some milestone birthdays, both female.  First one uses Card Patterns Sketch #147  http://cardpatterns.blogspot.com/2012/01/sketch-147.html and the Outlawz Paper Ala Mode Challenge to use numbers  http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/saturdayscarpbookingchallenge/forum/topics/paper-a-la-mode-january-6-january-13th
It also fits the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger Challenge - By the Numbers  http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2012/01/tuesday-trigger-by-numbers.html

The image is from The Little Paper Shop and the numbers are Snap Stamps (remember those?).  The image is colored with Touch Twin Markers.  The ribbon is by Bo Bunny.  Various sized punches were used for the circles and the image is on Spellbinders Petite Ovals.

The image was one I saved to my computer a long time ago and don't remember who it is by, but I just loved it.  The inside says "What's one more friggin" candle?".  Colored with Touch Twin Markers and added some Sakura Stardust and Glaze pen accents.  The sentiment is Happy Everything by SU.  Spellbinders Label 1 and Scalloped Border, cut squares of dp by Gina K and rounded the corners, then added dots around the edge with a pink gel pen.  Finished off with a stitches stamp and bling.

Thanks for visiting!

A Couple of Thank You Cards

Time for thank you cards and I chose a couple of challenges to do for them.  Touch Twin Markers Color Challenge TTC08  http://touchtwinchallenges.blogspot.com/2011/12/ttc08-touchtwin-marker-color-challenge.html

This also uses Card Patterns Sketch 146  http://cardpatterns.blogspot.com/2011/12/sketch-146.html

I used A Year of Flowers by Gina K and illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger.  I didn't have the colors that the challenge called for, so I combined colors to get a close match.  The backgrounds were stamped with Gina K's  Vintage Borders and Ribbon Stripes with Memento Bamboo Leaves.  The sentiment is also Gina K from Winter Friends.  The Gina K Release Challenge was to make your own patterned paper http://stamptv.ning.com/forum/topics/challenge-1-make-your-own-designer-paper.

Next, Lily Pad Cards has a challenge to use chipboard  http://www.lilypad.inlinkz.com/2011/12/30/5033/  And over at CASE Study this is for Challenge #71
http://casestudychallenge.blogspot.com/2011/12/case-study-challenge-71.html
this also fits the same Gina K Release Challenge.

I used only a part of the sentiment from Gina K's Winter Friends.  Painted the chipboard U with an acrylic paint dauber in blue.  Stamped the sentiment and cut out wth Spellbinders Pennant die and added dots around the edge with a Sakura Stardust blue gel pen.  The background was made with a ruler and the same Stardust gel pen.

Thanks for taking a look!
