Just Us Girls Challenge #269 - Wild Card

Vicki has a fun challenge for us this week at Just Us Girls - Anything Goes!

This is also our last week with our November Guest Designer - Tajanna.  I want to thank you for all of your wonderful creations this past month and we hope to continue to see you in our challenges!

Birthday card for one of my older sisters!  I always have to remind them that they are so much older than me.  The image is by Art Impressions and is colored with Touch Twin Markers and paper pieced pants.  I had to add the striped piece of washi tape because when I creased the fold it wasn't a clean line, kind of raggety.  The inside says "You Rock".  The card is made from Gina K Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight White, you can color on it without any bleeding and no soaking through, great for one layer cards.

Come play along with us at Just Us Girls and you could be chosen as our Chic of the Week and also for a chance to become our next Guest Designer.  Please limit your entries to 3.

Time Flies

The theme of The Male Room's challenge this week is Time.

And the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch!
Time flies, so celebrate!

I've had the clock and sentiment set for a long time and have no clue who it is by.  Stamped the clock with Versafine Onyx, then die cut it with a circle die.  The clock isn't perfectly round, so I hand trimmed it and layered onto a black circle and added a copper brad to the center..  Found this fun dp in my stash, it really plays tricks with you eyes.  Added the die cut celebrate and adhered to an ivory base (110 lb heavy weight cardstock from Michael's).   I really need to find a stamp that says "It's 5 o'clock somewhere".

Thanks for stopping by!

Golden Glitz

Here's a quick card that fits 2 challenges this week:

Mod Squad - Timed Challenge - One Layer Card

and CAS(E) this Sketch

I am so in love with my Delicata Golden Glitz ink!  It actually looks better when you don't emboss it..
Stamps:  Gina K Heirloom Ornaments and sentiment from Michael's $ bin.  Stamped the ornament and the sentiment with Delicata Golden Glitz ink, punched the edge with a Fiskar's punch and added dots of gold metallic gel pen.  Super quick and easy!

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Just Us Girls Challenge #268 - Photo

Cheryl is our hostess this week at Just Us Girls for our Photo Challenge.  I just love that old sled propped against the wall!

Tajanna, our November Guest Designer is with us again this week along with the rest of the JUGS Design Team.

I love that copper planter in the photo so I embossed the tree with copper ep on Gina K Kraft cardstock..  Colored in some of the open areas with white Wink of Stella pen and added some red dots with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen.  Stamped some little snowflakes all over with WPlus9 White ink and stamped the sentiment with Colorbox red ink.

Come play along with us at JUGS and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week.  We will chose one of our Chics from our November challenges to be our Guest Designer for the month of January.  Please limit your entries to 3.

Snowman Sketch

Another one for the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches

I used the large Tim Holtz snowman and 25 dies.  Cut the snowman from Core'dinations Whitewash cardstock, then cut out the 25 out of the snowman then out of red and inlaid the numbers into the snowman.  Dp is from my stash.  Stamped the stitching lines (by Gina K) in tan pigment ink then heat embossed with tan ep.  Added the Martha Stewart punched snowflake from the same Core'dinations cardstock as the snowman, added a small punched circle and added a little bow tied with tan floss.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #267 - Color

Sharyn has some beautiful colors for us to play with this week at Just Us Girls for Color Week!

Wait until you see what our Guest Designer, Tajanna and the rest of the JUGS Design Team have created with these gorgeous colors.

I used a couple of older Gina K sets - Winter Foliage and Heirloom Ornament.  Stamped the ornaments on red and turquoise cardstock and heat embossed with gold ep, then cut them out.  Stamped the pine boughs and the strings with Delicata Gold Glitz ink on Ivory cardstock.  The strings were lost in the pine, so added some gold gel pen to make them stand out.  Tied the little floss bows and colored them with Distress Stain Tarnished Brass.  You can't see it in the photo, but I added some clear Wink of Stella pen to the colored parts of the ornaments.  Finished it off by stamping the sentiment from Michael's $ bin with red ink.

Now come play along with us at Just Us Girls, you could be chosen as our Chic of the Week which would put you in the running to be our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Snowy Trees

Following the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches

And the theme from The Card Concept - Krafty Christmas in the Shabby Chic category.

All stamps are by Gina K.  First stamped the music on the kraft tag with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  Next the trees in Memento Northern Pine.  Stamped some little snowflakes with Versamark and sprinkled with some crystal ep, they are really hard to see unless the light hits them.  Sponged Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks around the edge.  Attempted some Fran-tage with the snow, used chunky white ep and mica fragments along the bottom and sprinkled a little bit of the chunky white ep over the rest and heat from the bottom of the tag.  Used some dp from my stash, a piece of burlap paper, twine and a wooden snowflake.  The tag dies are Tim Holtz by Sizzix.

Just Us Girls Challenge #266 - Trend Week

Chris is jumping right into our challenges as our hostess for Trend Week at Just Us Girls!  She is challenging us to do the Chalkboard Effect technique.  This is going to be a first for me.

Come and check out what our talented Guest Designer, Tajanna and the rest of the JUGS Design Team have created using the Chalkboard Technique.

Stamped the image and sentiment from Gina K's Square Pegs in WPlus9 white ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Tapped my finger in the white ink and lightly smeared some on the black cardstock around the image.  Matted with a brown frame, adding staples with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.  Stamped some Stitches by Gina K in Memento Espresso Truffle and added some washi tape.

Now come along and play with us at Just Us Girls in this week's Trend Challenge.  You could be chosen as our Chic of the Week and that would put you in the running to be our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Celebrate Sketch

STAMPlorations has a great sketch this week that opens up so many possibilities.

Wooden Birthday

I needed a birthday card for my brother-in-law and The Male Room had the perfect challenge - Wood.

First embossed the wood background with a Tim Holtz embossing folder then sponged Distress Ink in Walnut Stain all over it.  I had these wood hexagons in my stash that my friend gave me and stamped them with an old SU Canvas background stamp.  Played around with the arrangement until I was happy with it, then glued them in place.  Stamped the sentiment piece with STAMPlorations Chevron and Arrows set.  Layered onto some Gina K Dark Chocolate and onto a Sandy Beach base.

Thanks for stopping in!

Just Us Girls Challenge #265 - Word

This week's Word challenge at Just Us Girls is brought to us by Lisa and she has chosen the word - Wreaths!

We are proud to announce our Guest Designer for the entire month of November -  Tajanna!  Now come and check our what Tajanna and the rest of our Design Team has come up with.

This is the only wreath stamp I own and it is from Inkadinkado.  Stamped it with Memento Luxe Rhubarb Stalk and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  Colored in a few poinsettias with a Bundled Sage Distress marker and a water brush.  The green edges were done with a border punch.

I wanted to make a fall wreath, so I traced a circle with Antique Linen Distress Marker and stamped the little flowers in fall colors and hand drew the little leaves.  Added some yellow Wink of Stella to the flower centers.  Scored the edges of the white panel and mounted onto a Kraft base. All stamps are from STAMPlorations.

Now come play along with us at Just Us Girls for a chance to be chosen as our Chic of the Week, That would then put you in the running for a chance to become our next Guest Designer.  Please limit your entries to 3.  Looking forward to seeing all of your beautiful wreathes!
