Just Us Girls Photo Week

Maria has a beautiful photo of tulips for our inspiration at Just Us Girls for our Photo Week Challenge.  Who doesn't like tulips!

Check out how our Guest Designer Kathy Schweinfurth and the rest of the  JUGS team were inspired by these gorgeous tulips.

The yellow polka dot background is a digi from Gina K, the flowers and basket are also from Gina K.
Tulips and basket were colored with Touch Twin markers.  Added some Inktense watercolor pencil to the flowers and leaves and spread the color with a clear Wink of Stella marker.  The frame was made by using various rectangle dies and distress the edge of the brown one.  I am sending this off to a sweet lady who is turning 80.

Come play along in our challenge and show us how you are inspired by the photo, you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week.  That would then make you eligible to become our next Guest Designer.  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #289 - Color Week

Lisa has provided us with an awesome Color Challenge at Just Us Girls this week.  She has chosen Brown, White or Beige and a color of your choice.  There are so many colors that would look great with this combo.

Please come and join our April Guest Designer Kathy Schweinfurth and the rest of the JUGS girls.

I recently got this Distressed stamp by Kaiser Craft and when I saw the color combo, I knew I had to use it.  Other stamps are by Tim Holtz and Casual Fridays.

One more using cream, browns and green.  Stamps and cardstock by Gina K.  Colored with Distress Markers.  The smoke is colored with a Touch Twin marker in a green gray.

Can't wait to see what color you pair with this combo!

Come play with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week and that would give you a chance at becoming our next Guest Designer.  Please limit your entries to 3.

Geared Birthday

Another masculine birthday card inspired by the challenge at The Male Room - use a metallic embossing powder.

Cut the gears from a Sizzix die, pressed them into Versamark and covered with Stampendous aged gold, aged silver and some copper ep.  Love how the Stampendous ep has such a rustic, aged look.  Stamped the sentiment with Memento black ink and used a WPlus9  splatter stamp on the gray grid background.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just Us Girls Trend Week

I get to be the hostess for this week's Trend Challenge at Just Us Girls!  My challenge for you this week is to make a shaker card.  These really intimidated me and actually still do, a little.

We have Kathy Schweinfurth with us again this week as our Guest Designer.  Come see what Kathy and the rest of the JUGS girls have created.

I found this fun confetti at a dollar store and thought shaker card right away!  I used some fun foam between the layers to allow the confetti to move.  I like the way the striped paper looks through the heart window.

And a few more:

Now, it's your turn to Shake it Up!  You could be chosen as our Chic of the Week, which would then put you in the running to be our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #287 - Word Week

It's Word Week at Just Us Girls!  Sharyn has a very timely word for us - Spring.  When you hear this word, what do you think of?

We have a new Guest Designer today and for the rest of the month!  Welcome Kathy Schweinfurth!  Come see what Kathy and the rest of the JUGS Design Team have created with Spring in mind.

Most people think of flowers when they think of spring, me, my mind turns to golf!  I did use spring colors.  Colored the Golden Oldies image with Touch Twin markers and added some gel pen accents.

Now show us what you think of when you think of Spring!  You could be chosen as our Chic of the Week, which would give you a chance to become our next Guest Designer.  Please limit your entries to 3.
