Just Us Girls #406 - Trend Week

It's time for a new Trend at Just Us Girls and Judy is challenging us to Bring on the Shine!

We have with us again this week, Darnell Knauss as our Guest Designer!  Check out what Darnell and the rest of the Design Team at JUGS have created by Bringing on the Shine!

The background is stenciled with Distress Oxide ink in Broken China.  Then stamped the dragonfly from an old SU set, but the background was showing through the wings, so stamped it again on some white cardstock, colored the wings and added some Stickles.  Cut out the wings and paper pieced onto the original dragonfly.  Added some Sakura black glaze pen over the body of the dragonfly.  Then die cut the sentiment from some black Glitter Silk cardstock by Core'dinations.

Come play with us in our Trend Week Challenge and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

I love the pattern and shine on your dragonfly wings, Sue. They really do shine like that IRL.

I'm a total dragonfly lover, so your stenciled card is enchanting to me, Sue! I love how you fixed her and she became even more shiny and beautiful as a result!! Hugs, Darnell

Sue, this is a fabulous card - if I were to try something like this it would look messy - yours looks impeccable! I love the layers of inky goodness with the interesting combination of shapes and colors. Wonderful card! Wishing you a great week-end. hugs, de
