Just Us Girls #423 - Trend Week

It's time for our Trend Week at Just us Girls and I have been seeing a lot of galaxy backgrounds/night sky creations lately; so that is what I chose to challenge everyone to try. Here is a link to Jennifer McGuire's tutorial using Distress Oxide Inks. Another version on Splitcoaststampers using watercolors. The Design Team has done an amazing job with this Trend to provide inspiration! I can't wait to see all of your beautiful starry night skies!

Come on over to JUGS to see what our Guest Designer Cathymac and the rest of the Design Team have created.

I used the tutorial from Jennifer McGuire's blog.  Sponged on various Distress Oxide Inks, then plattered some white ink and added some white gel pen dots.  I used a combination of stamps on this from Concord & 9th, Gina K and Hero Arts.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Loved your choice for our Trend Week Sue. Fabulous background - love how you framed it in black. Super layout with the moon sentiment and that big wide world map.

Your challenge was wonderful in stretching me outside my 'techniques' zone! Now I need to add Black Soot ink to my collection, as I'd love to make MORE galaxy/night backgrounds! Your galaxy is lovely; perfect for the images and sentiment!

Thanks for choosing this fun challenge, Sue. The skies are all so different and interesting. Yours is wonderful and I love the earth and moon as part of the scene.
