Just Us Girls #434 - Wild Card Week

This month we have a 5th week which means that it's time for Wild Card Week at Just Us Girls!  Angie is challenging us to make something CAS (Clean and Simple)!

This is our last week with our March Guest Designer, Stef Perry and I want to say THANK YOU for joining us this past month and sharing your amazing talent with us!  Come check out JUGS blog to see what Stef and the rest of the Design Team have made in a CAS style.

Using a really old Gina K set colored with Touch Twin markers.  Pretty straight forward.  I had cut the sentiment in half so I could use the second half on the inside which says "you're retro!".

Now it's your turn to show us your CAS style.  You could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make  you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3!

Just us Girls #433 - Photo Week

Bobby is bringing us our Photo Week Challenge at Just Us Girls, which looks so springy and inviting to me!  And I am more than ready for spring to arrive here in Michigan!

Check out the JUGS blog to see how Stef Perry, our March Guest Designer and the rest of the talented Design Team were inspired by this photo.

This was going to be a one layer card until I forgot to mask off the stems when I stamped the pot!  The line for the back of the flower pot shows through the stems and leaves.  It also looks crooked in the photo, but in real life it doesn't.  Oh, well!  I used some Gina K stamps from a couple different sets and the sentiment is by Mudra.   Images were colored with Touch Twin markers.

Come play along with us and your could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #432 - Color Week

Nancy is our hostess over at Just Us Girls and she has chosen a beautiful color combination for our inspiration!

We have Steph Perry with us again this week as our Guest Designer!  Pop on over to JUGS to see how these colors inspired Stef and the rest of the amazing Design Team!

Using one of my favorite stamp sets, Beautiful Day by Altenew stamping the images with Memento Espresso Truffle and Rich Cocoa inks and die cutting them all.   The background was made by smearing Distress Oxide inks in blues.  The little leaves with the flowers were colored with Touch Twin markers in Khaki and Aqua.

Come share your creations with us at JUGS and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Gray Floral

Playing along with the Double D Challenge - When Skies are Gray.

GRAB OUR BADGE!

Using the Altenew set Beautiful Day stamping in shades of gray.on the die cuts of the same set.  This flower actually has 4 layers, but I only used 2.  After watching Jennifer McGuire's tutorial on Stamp Layering Tips I stamped a lot of flowers for future use.  Using her process makes layered stamps so much easier to do.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

JUGS #431 - Mythical or Magical

Our newest Design Team member Carol Mayne is hosting the Trend Week Challenge at Just for Girls for us this week.  The Trend is Mythical or Magical!

Check the mythical and magical creations by our Guest Designer Stef Perry and the talented JUGS Design Team!

I was digging through my stamps to find anything that I could use for this challenge and was just about ready to give up when I remember the Studio G stamps that were in a binder and came across this little fairy.  Stamped and colored with watercolor markers and added some Wink of Stella on her wings. Stamped gold stars all around her.   Found this patterned paper which I thought looked very magical and mythical and used a couple different purples for layering onto and the card base which were both stamped with a background stamp and gold ink.  Sponged the edges of the fairy's oval with distress ink and then inked all the layers on just the edges with more gold ink.

Come on over to JUGS and show us your Mythical and Magical creations and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Pencils on Acetate

Stumbled across a new challenge blog CAS Mix Up Card Challenge and the challenge is to use Acetate, stamping and your choice.

Stamped the Altenew Peonies on acetate with Stazon ink, colored with watercolor pencils and Prismacolor Pencils.  Stamped the sentiment, cut it out and layered on 2 banner die cuts.  Adhered it all together on a light pink card base.  My acetate actually has a rough side to hold the ink, it was made for ink jet printers.

Thanks for stopping by!

One Layer Masculine Sketch

I made a one layer card for CAS on Friday using the sketch from Cardz 4 Guyz.

CAS on Sunday

Cardz 4 Guyz Logo

I used the shells and starfish from Gina K's Gifts from the Sea and colored them with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol on Gina K kraft.  Added the sentiment with black ink.  This really was quick and easy to produce.

Thanks for taking a look!

Just Us Girls #430 - Word Week

It's time for our Word Week at Just Us Girls and Maria has chosen the word Balloons!

Welcome to our March Guest Designer - Stef PerryCome on over to the JUGS Challenge Blog to see what Stef and the rest of the amazing Design Team have created using Balloons.

I was looking through some older stamps and ran across this elephant holding the heart balloons and have no idea where it's from.  Colored her, since she has polished nails, with Touch Twin markers and added some glaze gel pen to the balloons and her nails.  Stamped the sentiment and heat embossed with purple ep.  Used a stencil to add the darker purple polka dots on the lighter purple card base.  Die cut the sentiment and striped layer with banner dies.  Used part of a Spellbinders die below the image.  And then thought it needed a little something more, so added the die cut circle and inlaid the striped heart.

Come play along with us in our Word Challenge and you could be chosen as our Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.
