Sadly, this is our last week with Patti Kehl as our Guest Designer and I want to say Thank You for joining us this past month and sharing all of  you amazing designs!  Now, come on over to the JUGS blog to see how Patti and the rest of the Design Team were inspired by this beautiful photo.

I used the daisy from A Year of Flowers by Gina K to make my black eyed Susan.  Colored with Touch Twin markers and added the sentiment from Hero Arts.  Layered on some kraft polka dot paperer and Warm cocoa cardstock from Gina K.  Added some clear Wink of Stella to the petals or a little shimmer.

Come on over to JUGS to share your creations using the photo as  your inspiration.  You could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Copper Peonies

Playing along with CASology this week in their Copper challenge.

Stamped the Altenew peonies in 2 shades of copper ink.  The background was masked off and sponged with copper ink then embossed with a herringbone embossing folder.   Added the sentiment from Hero Arts, also stamped in copper ink.  Inked the edges of a white card base with copper ink and done!  Lots of copper!

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Just Us Girls #441 - Color Week

It's Color Week at Just Us Girls and Lisa is challenging us with this gorgeous color palette.

We have the very talented Patti Kehl with us again this week as our May Guest Designer!  Come on over to the JUGS Blog to see how these colors inspired Patti along with the rest of the talented Design Team.

Using Altenew's Vintage Roses in Navy and Aqua with the leaves in shades of gray.  Stamped the gingham background from Lawn Fawn in navy ink onto a gray layer and adhered it all to a navy card base.  A little tip I learned from Jennifer McGuire's blog, use Press n Seal over the top side of the flowers when you get them arranged the way you want, then add your adhesive to the back side, flip it over onto your card as one piece then just peel away the Press n Seal.

Now it's your turn to show us how these colors inspire you!  You could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #440 - Trend Week

It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Angie is our hostess and is challenging us to use Stencils!

We have Patti Kehl with us again this week as our Guest Designer for the month of May!  Pop on over to the JUGS Blog to see what Patti and the rest of the talented Design Team have created using stencils.

I printed the treble clef and notes on a laser printer and foiled them with Rose Gold foil.  Matted with some slate gray cardstock.  Stenciled on the one side and into the image with a Tim Holtz Stencil with Hero Arts Wet Cement ink.  Stenciled the chevron onto the card base with Memento Gray Flannel ink.  Added the sentiment and done.

Here is one more that is for my grandson's first communion using a sunburst stencil.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just us Girls #439 - Word Week

It's Word Week at Just Us Girls a I have chosen the word Shadow.  You can make a shadow of an image or words, it could be stamped or drawn shadows or create a shadow by layering die cuts.  Use your imagination and see where it takes you!

I would like to welcome our May Guest Designer, Patti KehlCheck out the JUGS Blog to see how Patti and the rest of the Design Team have interpreted the word Shadow.

I went with stamped shadows.  The balloons were stamped with gray ink with the die cut balloons adhered directly to the white layer, slightly offset for a dimensional look.  The sentiment was stamped first with gray ink then a little and to the right with black ink, again for a dimensional look.  The sentiment was stamped using my MISTI to get the right placement.. I also added some clear Wink of Stella to the balloons.

How does the word Shadow inspire you?  Come share you creations with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.
