For the Grad

I needed a graduation card and the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch!  was a perfect fit!

Using the Gina K set Lots of Lines, stamped the stars with Brilliance ink in yellow and the sentiment from the same set in Memento Teal Zeal.  Quick and easy!

Just Us Girls #489 - Photo Week

Vicki has chosen this fantastic photo for our Photo Week challenge at Just Us Girls.  Rainbows are so trendy right now!

I would like to thank Eva Dobilas for joining us this past month as our Guest Designer with all of her amazing designs!  Come check out the JUGS blog to see all of the beautiful rainbows by Eva and the rest of the talented Design Team.

Playing with a new to me set from Unity!  Stamped the image on watercolor paper and used Inktense pencils to color with a waterbrush.  When dry, added some sparkle to the paint stripes with some Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone.  Tried the Jennifer McGuire technique of using a baby wipe and reinkers for the rainbow background on watercolor paper.  Added a piece of rainbow striped patterned paper to the card base.  Stamped the sentiment and die cut with a circle die and cutting off the top and bottom.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #488 - Color Week

Maria has chosen an awesome idea for our Color Week Challenge at Just Us Girls!  This photo is beautiful and you can choose any 3 colors from the photo to create with.

Hop on over to the JUGS blog to see what Eva Dobilas, our Guest Designer along with the rest of the Design Team have created by picking 3 colors from this photo.

Digging into my older stamps once again and found this 2 step set from Stampin Up.  I used yellow and pink Distress Oxide inks and a green Distress Ink on Gina K Ivory cardstock.  Stamped the sentiment in a dark green ink, die cut the oval and layered onto yet another oldie, a ribbon slider die cut and added a strip of yellow cardstock.  Added a few tiny dots of Nuvo drops in yellow.

It's your turn to show us your creations using 3 colors from the photo.  You could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #487 - Trend Week

It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Nancy has chosen a very Trendy challenge for us this week!

We have with us again this week our May Guest Designer - Eva Dobilas!  Check out the JUGS site to see how Eva and the rest of the amazing Design Team have used Bold Letters.

I pulled out some very old SU alphabet stamps to make this masculine birthday card.  Lined the letters up on my MISTI leaving a space for the second P.  Stamped in black ink on the polka dot patterned paper, but wanted it darker so stamped again with Versamark and heat embossed with clear ep.  Stamped the "birthday" on black cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed with white ep.  Layered onto some black and white grid paper and onto a kraft card base.  Now that my alphabet stamps have made their way onto my desk, you can bet there will be more use of them :)

Play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #486 - Word Week

It's the first week of the month and that means it's Word Week at Just Us Girls!  Carol has chosen a really fun word for us this week - Movement.

And since it is the first week of the month, that means a new Guest Designer!  Welcome Eva Dobilas, our May Guest Designer!  Check out the JUGS blog to see how Eva and the rest of the Design Team have created Movement.

My Movement comes from the sequins in this shaker card and technically, the little whale swimming .
The background was stamped with a very old Cornish Heritage background stamp.  Die cut the hearts and added some Sakura gel pen dots.  Sponged some light blue for the water the whale is swimming in.  The little whale is an oldie from Amuse.

Show us your movement cards and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.
