Just Us Girls #603 - Photo Week

The fourth Saturday of the month means it's time for Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Ina has chosen a beautiful photo for our inspiration.

I would like to thank Loll Thompson for joining us this past month as our Guest Designer and sharing all of her fabulous creations with us!  Now come on over to JUGS to see how this photo inspired Loll and the rest of the amazing Design Team.

Lots of masking on this.  Stamped the floral image from Gina K first, then the basket.  Masked the basket and flowers and added a strip of painter's tape and stamped the woodgrain.  Masked the woodgrain and used a stencil on the upper portion and inked with Distress Inks in Antique Linen and Old Paper, then stamped over the stencil with a crackled background stamp in Hero Arts Wet Cement, which is really hard to see in the photo.  Colored the flowers and basket with Touch Twin markers and green Moonlight gel pen on the leaves.  Sponged on some Antique Linen over the woodgrain.  Added the hello from Concord and 9th which was heat embossed with platinum ep on black and then die cut.

Come share your creations with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #602 - Color Week

It's Color Week at Just Us Girls and Nancy has chosen a fun and versatile color combo for us to play with!

We have the amazing Loll Thompson here again with us this week as our Guest Designer!  Come check out JUGS to see what Loll and the rest of the talented Design Team have created with these colors.

Started with some red and white polka dot paper and some orange and white striped paper and sponged on Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink.  Die cut the striped piece with a tag die.  Die cut a smaller tag from orange, added the die cut flower tag inforcer (?) and a small red die cut bow.  Stamped the sentiment in black.

Play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #601 - Trend Week

It's time for Trend Week at Just Us Girls with our newest member of our team, Elizabeth as hostess and she wants us to shake it up with shaker cards.

Come on over to JUGS to see what our fabulous Guest Designer, Loll Thompson and the rest of the amazing Design Team have created.

Playing around with a technique I saw on Jennifer McGuire's blog.  Don't know if my embossing powder was too old or I just didn't use enough of my antistatic bag, but it turned out a little grungy looking and I decided to go with it anyway.  Used a Stamplorations shaker balloon die and filled it with blue glitter and sequins.  Stamped the sentiment from Scrapbook.com.

Come on over and share your shaker creations and you could become our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #600 - Word Week

What a milestone!  Challenge #600 at Just Us Girls and Vicki is our hostess for this milestone celebration with a Word Week Challenge.  Her Word is Six - 6.  You can use six of anything for your creation - six colors, six images, six layers, etc.

It's also the first week on the month and that means a new Guest Designer!  Please welcome the amazing Loll Thompson!  Come on over to JUGS to see what Loll and the rest of the talented Design Team have created with the Word 6 as inspiration.

I went with 6 candles for a simple birthday card.  Colored the candles and flames with Touch Twin markers and gel pens.  Some of the candles are layered with the coordinating dies.  Added some Wink of Stella to the flames.  Sentiment is die cut from some holographic cardstock that I had in my stash by Crayola and layered on the shadow dies in royal blue.  Stamps and dies by Technique Tuesday.

Come share you creations with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.
