Birthday Rock Star

My niece and God Daughter's birthday is on Christmas Eve and the Sketch 220 at Mojo Monday was a perfect fit for what I had in mind.

I used the set Live Life Loud by Gina K, illustrated by Tami Mayberry.  Stamped the drum set with Versamark and heat embossed with black ep.  The dot pattern across the bottom is Ribbon Stipes, also by Gina K.  Added silver metallic gel pen dots to the open scalloped circle.  I found the pink polka dot paper ribbon tape at TJ Maxx.  This came together very easily.

Thanks for taking a look!

Treat Cans

Our local scrapbook store had these cute little mini paint cans on sale and I couldn't resist.  They are going to be filled with M & Ms for my grandsons.
The challenge at Touch Twin Markers is "Furry Friends"

I got these cute little stamps at Walmart last year.  The images are colored with Touch Twin Markers.  The bear was cut out and layered onto the green cs, the moose has paper pieced leg warmers which are also heat embossed with red ep.  The papers and ribbons are from my stash and the pennant paper tape on the bear can was found at TJ Maxx.  The dp was adhered to the cans with red sticky tape and pieces of ribbon tied to the handle.

Rock Star

My middle grandson turns 6 next week and he is definitely a Rock Star!  The sketch from Mojo Monday  was the perfect layout for the image I wanted to use on his card.

Funny, I just realized that I used the same colors from the sketch sample.  I used Gina K's set Live Life Loud by Tami Mayberry, one of my favorites.  Stamped the guitar in VersaMark and heat embossed with black ep, then stamped the gradient rectangle with Vivid Cobblestone over the guitar.  Colored with Prismacolor green marker.  Stamped the partial sentiment with Brilliance Galaxy Green for some shimmer and punched the star out of silver glitter cs that was on sale at Michael's last week.  The border was stamped with VersaFine Onyx.

Another Tag

This is my version of Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas - Tag 10

The tag was sponged with Old Paper distress ink, stamped with archival black ink.  Then the pine branches were stamped with Pine Needles distress ink then sprayed with Gold Glimmer Mist.  I had a little problem with the ornaments drying, then finally decided to use double sided tape.

Tim Holtz Inspired

I've been playing along with Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas  I just love his creativity.  Here are a few tags that I have made.

I didn't have the snowman die, so I stamped the snowman from Gina K's Winter Friends on the back side of my Grunge Paper which was painted with white acrylic paint dabber and cut it out.  Covered with Crackle Accents then sponged with Distress Inks when it dried.  The flourish border is cut from acetate and sponged with the white paint dabber.  Added Stickles to his hat and bottom.

This one uses Gina K's Tree Silhouettes and Vintage Borders.  The sentiment is done in emboss resist and is by Studio G.  The small branches are by Inkadinkado.

I don't know who the flourish background is by, I've had it a long time and it's unmounted.  The candlestick is a combination of stamps from Gina K's Lovely Shelf with the branch punches by Martha Stewart.

Check out Tim's blog, he has some pretty amazing creations.

Loving These Colors

I am really loving the colors of fall that Touch Twin Markers Challenge has going on

I stamped the leaves and acorns from the Gina K set A Year of Leaves on Pure Luxury White cs, colored them with alcohol markers, cut them out and layered onto a Nesties label.  The label was edged with a copper paint pen.  Card base is Pure Luxury Soft Sand.

Have a great day!

Another Touch Twin Challenge Card

The same color combo as my last post for the Touch Twin Challenge TTC04

Stamps by Gina K - Heartfelt (I just love that fence!)

After coloring the pumpkins they looked too dark, so I used a colorless blender over them to lighten them up.

ScorPal to the Rescue

There is a give away at ScorPal on Facebook.  To enter you just have to make something with your ScorPal and post a link on Facebook.

I needed a box for a birthday gift over the weekend and didn't have anything near the right size, so I pulled out my ScorPal and used some patterned cardstock from Martha Stewart.  Scored 12 x 12 cs at 2" each side for the top and at 2 1/8" for the bottom.  Adhered the flaps with ScorTape and added a couple of flourish die cuts and tied it with silver ribbon.  Quick and easy!

Fall Flowers

Touch Twin Markers has a new challenge this week, TTC03 - Florals

The image is by Gina K - Lovely Shelf.  It's hard to see in the photo, the vase has Waterfall Stickles for the water and a clear glaze over the glass for shine.  The image was stamped on Gina K Pure Luxury white cs then colored with markers.  A Martha Stewart border punch was used on the rust layer and finished it off with a Baker's Twine little bow.

Groovy Birthday

I paper pieced a little van for my dh's birthday and it just happens to fit the challenge of paper piecing at  Creative Belli

I pulled out some of my beloved Core'dinations Black Magic cardstock.  Stamp set by Gina K, illustrated by Tami Mayberry - So Groovy.

Next, over at Touch Twin Markers  they are having a color challenge.  Since I don't have any of those markers in my possession yet, I tried to come close with the markers I have.

I used a couple of Gina K sets by Theresa Momber - Aloha and Vogue Vases.

Tuesday Trigger

The inspiration piece at Moxie Fab World is fantastic and filled with tons of inspiration.

I tried to incorporate all of the colors and most of the elements of the Trigger.  The stamp set is by Gina K - Sung from the Heart.  I had the woodgrain dp in my stash and inked it with a couple different green inks to try to get the right shade.  Stamped the envelope and paper pieced it with the tiny gingham check, colored with Prismacolor markers and covered the hearts with Sakura Clear Glaze pen.  The scalloped border is an EK Success border punch.  Ribbon from Target Dollar Spot, button from SU, twine by Jillibean Soup.

The layout was CASEd from Deb Felts on Stamp TV

Colored Pencil Magic

I used the sketch from Card Patterns this week

And the challenge from Creative Belli Blog  to use string.

This also fits the challenge at Stamp TV to do Colored Pencil Magic

I flipped the sketch.  The sections on the background were separated by stitching, the first time I have attempted to actually sew on a card.  I used the stamp set Lean on Me by Gina K.  The flowers were stamped with Studio G white chalk ink then colored with Prismacolor pencils.  Cut the image out with a Nesties oval and layered onto a scalloped oval.

Stamps:  Gina K Lean on Me
ink:  Studio G white chalk ink, Memento Tangelo
cs:  Gina K Pure Luxury Grass Green and Sweet Mango, black, SU dp
accessories:  bling, black floss, Prismacolor pencils, sponge, Nesties

Sketch at Lily Pad

Lily Pad Cards  has a really cute sketch challenge.

This was a quick and easy wedding card, but very hard to get a good photo of.  I used all Gina K stamps:  Happy Hearts, Ribbon Stripes and Inside and Out.  The cream colored ink is an old ink spot called Shadow Ink in Vanilla and Memento Desert Sand.  Used a scalloped heart punch on the larger heart and hand cut the smaller one.  Used dimentional squares to pop up the hearts.
