Just Us Girls #560 - Wild Card Week

There is a fifth Saturday this month, so that means it Wild Card Week at Just Us Girls and Angie is challenging us to use Word Die Cuts.

I would like to thank Karen Walker for joining us this past month as our Guest Designer!   Now come on over to JUGS  to see what Karen and the rest of the Design Team has created using Word Die-cuts.

I made this for my Grandson to congratulate him on an awesome undefeated regular season.  Stamped the background with an unknown grid stamp in black on red (his school colors).   Used an embossing folder with white cardstock, die cut it in a circle and colored it to look like a soccer ball.  Die cut the large yellow star and positioned behind the soccer ball.  Die cut the "congrats" twice, 1 white and 1 black, layered together slightly staggered and added some clear glaze on top then adhered to the layered banner.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #559 - Photo Week

It''s Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Nancy has chosen a fabulous photo with lots of inspiration.

Check out JUGS blog to see how this photo inspired our Guest Designer, Karen Walker and the rest of the amazing Design Team.

I was really inspired by the big clock and the wood.  Embossed some Core'dinations Kraft Core with a wood embossing folder and sanded it to bring out the kraft.  Stamped the clock onto a piece of patterned paper.  Die cut the floral and colored with a combination of Touch Twin markers and Distress Inks.  Stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts.

Come play along with us and you could become our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #558 - Color Week

It's Color Week at Just Us Girls and it's a fun one this week brought to you by Maria!

Come on over to JUGS to see what our Guest Designer, Karen Walker and the rest of the Design Team have created with this color combo.

Stenciled the purple background using Versamark and covered with Perfect Pearls purple powder.  Stenciled the orange layer with Distress Oxide Ink.  Stamped the bats on black with Versamark and heat embossed with silver ep.  Added googly eyes to the biggest one and colored the eyes on the other 2 with a white gel pen.  Fussy cut them out.  Stamped the sentiment in black on the purple, but it didn't show up very well, so colored over it with an orange gel pen.

Come play with us and you could become our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #557 - Trend Week

It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Lisa has chosen the ever trendy Ombre!

Come check out JUGS to see what our Guest Designer Karen Walker and the rest of the talented Design Team have created with Ombre.

Using a stencil, blended Distress Oxide inks in yellow through orange.  The background looked too stark, so blended some Distress Ink in Antique Linen over the top.  Die cut the wreath and colored the leaves with Prismacolor markers in red, yellow and orange.  Added some gem stones.  Die cut the sentiment from Concord & 9th the top one in white and two more in brown.  Inked the white one with Distress Inks Antique Linen, Tea Dye and Vintage photo blending light to dark.  Added some clear gloss on the ombre sentiment and adhered to the card.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.
