Foiled Candles

Playing around with foil and my laminator and since this card is so bright it fits the challenge at TIME OUT Challenges.

Colored the candles with Prismacolor markers then foiled with pink Fancy Foil on the candles and gold foil on the sentiment and stars. Matted with black cardstock and used foam dots to pop it up.  Added a strip of rainbow chevron paper and matted onto a bubblegum pink card base.

Just Us Girls #455 - Photo Inspiration Week

It's time for our Photo Inspiration Week at Just Us Girls and Vicki has a super and very timely photo for our inspiration this week!

I was inspired by the colors and the school theme.  I used stamps from Unity - Stenciled & Deconstructed and Smarty Pants.  Stamped the background with Memento Soft Sand on Kraft.  Stamped the report card, sentiment circle and label with Memento Rich cocoa.  Good luck is from a Studio G set stamped in Memento Espresso Truffle.  The banner is from a set called Rad which I think is from CASual Fridays, stamped in Rich Cocoa and colored in with Prismacolor pencils.  Colored the dots on the 2 with a light blue gel pen.

Just Us Girls #454 - Color Week

It's time for Color Week at Just Us Girls and Angie has chosen a soft and beautiful color combo for our inspiration!

I found this image in my stash, I think it is from Sprinkle & Sparkle.  Lime green foil negative adhered to an aqua piece.  Stamped the sentiment from Stampin Up on aqua, die cut and layered on a  light green die cut banner.  Die cut some lime green cardstock with a polka dot background and layered over some aqua and then adhered to a pale yellow base.  This is so hard to get a good photo of with the foil.

And one more.  I just got some Prismacolor water soluble pencils from Amazon in their Daily Deals and couldn't wait to try them out.  They blend beautifully!  I used a little frog from Gina K and colored in light green and yellow, added the water with an aqua colored pencil and added some clear Wink of Stella for some sparkle.  I had to add the yellow Nuvo drops due to a little oops.

Just Us Girls #483 - Trend Week

It's my turn to host the challenge at Just Us Girls and this week is Trend Week!  Watercolor continues to be a big trend in cardmaking and when you aren't that good at watercoloring you have to find a way to get good results!  I came across this tutorial from Jennifer McGuire for Fast Watercolor Looks and I am quite happy with the results.  Jennifer has some of the best tutorials!

First I heat embossed the flowers and leaves on the die cut Altenew flowers then followed Jennifer's tutorial using the Distress Inks!  I love how they turned out!

Using some Altenew stamps and playing along with CAS(e) this Sketch! and challenge #200 at Cardz 4 Guyz - Relax.

Stamped and die cut the bottles then sponged with Distress Inks.  Colored the bottle caps with a gold Prismacolor marker.  Stamped the sentiment with an alphabet set from Altenew in Memento Espresso Truffle.  The gold layer is from Tim Holtz Shattered collection.

Just Us Girls #452 - Word Week

It's time for Word Week at Just Us Girls and Maria has chosen the Word Beach.  This is a great choice for our challenge since this is definitely Beach time!

Since this is the beginning of a new month, that means a new Guest Designer and I would like to welcome Ros Crawford!  Come check out what Ros and the rest of the JUGS Design Team have created with the Word Beach.

Started with a pre-watercolored panel and sponged on some Distress Ink in Antique Linen for a more beachy feel.  Dic cut the tag, tag topper, striped panel, sand dollar and the swirly piece all from Reverse Confetti.  Used Prismacolor pencils to add some color to the sand dollar.  Stamped the sentiment from Gina K in Memento Espresso Truffle and adhered to a kraft card base.
