Just Us Girls #643 - Wild Card Week

We have a fifth Saturday this month, so that means it's Wild Card Week at Just Us Girls and Ina is our fabulous hostess and is challenging us to CASE a Designer!

Come on over to JUGS to see who our Guest Designer, Fran Wing and the rest of the awesome Design Team have cased.  Also, a huge thank you to Fran for joining us as our Guest Designer this past month!

CASEing our very own Vicki Dutcher!  I recently saw this adorable card on her blog and knew I had to CASE it!

I used the same gnome and changed up the patterned papers.  Instead of an embossed strip, I die cut the stripes down the middle of the panel.  I also smeared some white Liquid Pearls on his beard and added some hands.

Share you CASEd design with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #642 - Photo Week

It's time for Photo Week at Just Us Girls and it's my turn to be hostess.  Here is the photo I chose for this week's challenge.

Come on over to JUGS to see what our amazing Guest Designer, Fran Wing and the rest of the talented Design Team have created with this photo as their inspiration.
The leaves were stamped in black on watercolor paper and then watercolored.  Added the sentiment in black stamping partially over the leaves.  Layered onto some light green cardstock and then on to a white card base.  Very quick and simple!

Come share your inspired creations with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #641 - Color Week

This week at Just Us Girls, it's our Color Week challenge and Cecile has chosen a beautiful color combo for our inspiration!

Come check out JUGS to see how our Guest Designer, Fran Wing and the rest of the Design Team have used these gorgeous colors.

Playing with a few new purchases.  Die cut the burlap piece and added some Golden Glitz ink and adhered loosely to a gray panel (it looks lighter gray irl).  Die cut the floral piece and sponged on some coral ink applying heavier to the centers and colored the stems with a gray marker.  Stamped the sentiment in coral ink and trimmed with my MISTI ruler and angled the tail.  Tucked the sentiment under the flowers and adhered to a coral mini slimline card base.

Come share your creations with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Monochromatic Masculine Birthday

Working on a card for my brother's upcoming birthday and was inspired by a couple of challenges.

The Male Room - Monochrome

Addicted to Stamps and More - Birthday

I went with shades of brown.  Started by embossing a heavy piece of white cardstock with the Tim Holtz ef.  Sprinkled with Lindy's Magicals Steampunk Sepia and misted with water.  After it was dry added Memento Espresso Truffle direct to the raised areas for more definition.  Added the same Lindy's Magicals to some watercolor paper and misted then die cut the Tim Holtz Gears.  Randomly added more color with browns, copper and gold inks then sprayed with Krylon Triple Thick Crystal Clear Glaze.  Lined them up to fit together and added the sentiment which was gold embossed on Charcoal Brown Gina K cardstock and onto a Kraft card base.

Thanks for stopping by!

Delicate Dragonfly

Playing along with a couple of challenges this week.

CAS Mix Up Card Challenge

and "Less is More" Challenge

I had a scrap of leftover watercolor panel and cut into a square and stamped the sentiment in black.
Stamped the dragonfly in Versamark and heat embossed with gold ep.  Fussy cut the dragon fly and used Lindy's Magicals to watercolor the dragonfly.  Adhered the dragonfly down his body to let the wings be free.  Put it all together onto a linen card base.
Pretty simple!

Thanks for stopping by for a closer look.

Just Us Girls #640 - Trend Week

It's time for our fun Trend Week Challenge at Just Us Girls and Carol Mc. has chosen a very new to me and fun challenge to create a rocker card.

Check out JUGS to see all of the fun Rocker Cards by our fabulous Guest Designer Fran Wing and the rest of the amazing Design Team.

I did have to Google this for some direction and this is what I came up with.  Die cut the open scalloped circle from yellow cardstock and then a smaller blue circle to layer.  Added a polka dot circle and then inlaid the stars using some white glitter paper (coloring the smaller star with a blue Prismacolor marker) and the larger star is die cut from yellow and yellow Stickles added.  Stamped the sentiment from Reverse Confetti in Nautical Blue Memento ink and die cut with the coordinating die layering under the largest star.

I had so much fun with this challenge that I had to make another!  The candles are popped up on an Action Wobbler.

Come join us and you could become our next Chic of the Week, which would make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #639 - Word Week

It's the beginning of a new month and it's time for Word Week at Just Us Girls and Nancy has chosen the word Mammals to inspire us!

I would like to say Welcome to our July Guest Designer - Fran!  Come on over to JUGS to see all of the Mammal creations by Fran and the rest of the fabulous Design Team!

I pulled out an older Gina K set and used the opossum image hanging on the branch.  Love the animals in this set so perfect for Hang in There.  Colored the critter and branch with Prismacolor markers and added some die cut leaves dipped into some Lindy's Magicals and lightly spritzed with water.  Layered onto some dark orange polka paper and onto a gray card base.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.
