Just Us Girls #354 - Wild Card

It's the 5th Saturday of the month so at Just Us Girls we have Wild Card Week!  Nancy is our hostess and she is challenging us to make something girly!

I'm sorry to say this will be Carol Mayne, our Guest Designer's last week with us, so come on over to the JUGS blog to see all of the girly creations by Carol and the rest of the JUGS Design Team.

I dug through my patterned paper pile and found the pink houndstooth that I had printed from Gina  K many years ago.  Die cut the Reverse Confetti tag, small black circle and the grid piece and added the die cut flower from Concord & 9th and used a sparkly enamel dot for it's center.  Found this fabric purple and white polka dot washi tape and used it as a tab on top of the tag and added a little twine bow.  The sentiment is from Altenew.  Finished it off by die cutting the stitched scalloped border along the bottom.

Now it's your turn to show us your Girly Creations!  You could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week which would then make you eligible to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

You Are Awesome!

Another encouragement card for my niece.

Used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

The colors from CAS Colours & Sketches

Die cut the Tim Holtz tag from a scrap of yellow and white polka dot cardstock and heat embossed some flowers from Unity.  Added the tag topper from Reverse Confetti and the Bramble Wreath from Memory Box die cut from some weave texture Core'dinations cardstock.  I cut the wreath and wrapped it into a smaller circle to fit on the tag.  The sentiment is from Altenew.  Layered the assembled tag onto some taupe striped dp from Mel Stampz and then onto a turquoise color card base.

Thanks for dropping by!

Just Us Girls #353 - Photo Week

It's time for our Photo Week Challenge at Just Us Girls and it's my turn to hostess!  This time of year I have golf on my mind, so I searched for a golf photo and this is what I came up with.  You can interpret this any way you want to, even if you don't go with a golf theme.  Let us know what inspires you in this photo.

Now, head on over to the JUGS blog to see how our Guest Designer, Carol Mayne and the rest of the JUGS girls were inspired by this photo.

I was inspired, obviously by the knickers!  I've had this set, Golf Time by Crafty Secrets for quite some time.  I was going to make the striped background horizontal, but totally messed up and cut it with the stripes vertical!  The image is colored with Prismacolor markers.  Sentiment stamped and heat embossed, then stamped the subtle polka dots on the happy banner.  Attached the birthday with copper brads.  The base and matting looks black in the photo, but it is Charcoal Brown from Gina K.

Do you feel inspired by the photo?  If so, come on over to the JUGS blog and add your link.  Who knows, you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then put you in the running to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

CAS on Sunday Challenge #87 - Sequins

For your blog

Cardz 4 Guyz - Challenge 129 - Make Us Smile

Cardz 4 Guyz Logo

I also used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, but sadly missed the deadline.

I chose the diagonal line with Enamel Dots, Monochromatic and Sequins for my Tic Tac Toe.  The chain link from WPlus9 was stamped with Memento Soft Sand and the strip above it from the same set was stamped in Memento Espresso Truffle.  The bottle is from Altenew and was stamped with Distress Ink in Scattered Straw then sponged with Tea Dye and Walnut Stain inks.  Added a few sequins with tiny enamel dots in the centers.  This will be going to my brother for his birthday next week.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just Us Girls #352 - Color Week

It's Color Week at Just Us Girls and Bobby has chosen some beautiful colors, kind of reminds me of sherbert!

Be sure to come on over to JUGS to see what our Guest Designer, Carol Mayne and the rest of the Design Team have created with these yummy colors.

The flowers and leaves from Altenew were stamped with Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar and Abandoned Coral.  After I adhered it all together, I realized that I forgot to adorn the hole on the tag so I added an adhesive glittery dot.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then put you in the running to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Awesome Cow

The Male Room challenge this time around is to make flowers masculine.

Immediately I thought of this cow with the flower in his mouth from Gina K's Funny Farm.  He is colored with Touch Twin markers.  The fence was die cut from some wood look paper and the sentiment is from Altenew.  The card base is from Lawn Fawn.  This isn't a very good photo, my camera is broken and I had to use my phone.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Just Us Girls #351 - Trend Week

Vicki is the hostess for our Trend Week Challenge at Just Us Girls and she has chosen Sponging!  You can sponge through stencils or around an image to add a soft glow.  How do you like to sponge?

We have our Guest Designer, Carol Mayne with us again this week.  Check out the JUGS Blog to see all of the soft, beautiful sponging by Carol and the rest of the Design Team.

First I stamped the sentiment in black then shifted it slightly and stamped it again with Versamark and heat embossed it with clear ep on white cardstock.  I sponged Distress inks in orange and yellow through a chevron stencil and rubbed the inks off of the sentiment..  Matted on black, layered onto a black die cut cover plate and onto a white card base.

Come and play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then put you in the running at becoming our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #350 - Word Week

Maria is hosting the Word Week Challenge at Just Us Girls and she has chosen the word "Summer".  Such perfect timing for this as the weather heats up.

I would like to welcome our Guest Designer for the month of July - Carol Mayne!  Now, hop on over to JUGS to see what Carol and the rest of the Design Team have created with Summer in mind.

I immediately thought of this bathing beauty from the Golden Oldies.  She is colored with Touch Twin Markers with some gel pen accents on her sunglasses, earring and lips.  The sentiment is from Tim Holtz.

Now it's your turn to create something with Summer in mind.  You could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then put you in the running to become out next Guest Designer.  Please limit your entries to 3.
