A huge THANK YOU to Claire Apostoloff for being our Guest Designer this past month sharing her amazing talent with us!  Check out JUGS to see what Claire and the rest of the Design Team have created using Silhouettes.

Started with a premade watercolor card base from my stash.  Stamped the Leaf Canopy image from Concord & 9th in black ink and added the sentiment from a Gina K set.  Quick and easy!

Come join us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #680 - Photo/Moodboard

It's Photo/Mood board Week at Just Us Girls and Bobby is our lovely hostess and has chosen fabulous Mood board for our inspiration!

Hop on over to JUGS to see what our talented Guest Designer, Claire Apostoloff and the rest of the amazing Design Team have created with this Mood Board as inspiration.

I was inspired by the nautical feel of the painting in the photo.  First I blended some teal and blue inks on a piece of white cardstock, covered with a double sided adhesive sheet, adhered the wavy cover plate die then sprinkled glitter over the entire panel.  Added the lighthouse circular die cut coloring parts of the lighthouse.  I noticed a little smudge on the upper left part of the circle that I couldn't get off, so I added the little banner and colored the flags in the same colors as the background.

Come share your creations with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #679 - Word Week

It's Word Week at Just Us Girls and Lisa has chosen a very timely Word for us this week - Wedding!

Hop on over to JUGS to see what our talented Guest Designer Claire Apostoloff and the rest of the amazing Design Team have created for Wedding.

Inked an embossing folder with Distress Oxide Antique Linen and ran through my Big Shot on white linen cardstock.  Die cut 2 hearts from the same linen cardstock.  Die cut the unbranded leafy branches from a piece of an experiment with Lindy's magicals on photo paper and die cut the Love from the same piece.  Added the forever & always and mounted onto a white linen card base.

Come share your wedding card with us at JUGS and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Cheers to Retirement

I was in need of a masculine retirement card and happened upon the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and got inspired!

I used the top row of the tic tac toe board - masculine, die cut and beer/drink.  Die cut the beer mug and glass, colored the beer and added yellow Stickles then added some Nuvo Drops to give the foam heads and little dimension.  Layered onto 2 die cut and layered stars in black and a pearl yellow/gold.  Stamped the sentiment directly onto the patterned paper (which I have had for a very long time) and heat embossed with black ep.  Added the black mat and then onto a kraft card base.
This is for a retiring police officer which is why I had to incorporate the stars representing his sheriff's badge.

Thanks for dropping by for a closer look!

Just Us Girls #678 - Color Week

It's Color Week at Just Us Girls and Nancy is our hostess and has chosen a very versatile color combo for us to play with.

Since this is the first Saturday of the month, that means it's time for a new Guest Designer.  Please welcome Claire Apostoloff who will be joining us for the month of May.  Check our JUGS to see what   and the rest of the talented Design Team have created with these colors.

New baby card using a new to me unbranded elephant and balloon die set.  Die cut the elephant from some pink polka dot paper and she didn't seem to stand out against the background, so outlined her with a light pink marker.  Added a dot of black glaze pen for her eye. Added the white gel pen dots on the balloon and a little die cut heart covered with some pink Nuvo Drops.  Used a coverplate die that I don't remember who makes it on white cardstock and then mounted onto a white card base.

Come share your creation using this week's colors and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Baby Elephant

Working on a new baby card and the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches was a fit!

Die cut lots of balloons in various blues and grays to make the balloon arch.  Die cut the elephant from gray polka dot paper and outlined with a gray marker.  Die cut the heart balloon from some blue glitter cardstock.  Added a strip of blue striped washi tape and added the sentiment stamped in blue and punched with an oval punch.  Put it all together on a large gray grid piece of patterned paper from my stash.

Do you think the new parent will like this?
Thanks for taking a closer look!
