Just Us Girls #630 - Wild Card Week

We have a 5th Saturday this month, so that means it's Wild Card Week at Just Us Girls where the hostess can choose anything at all for our challenge!  Lisa K. has chosen to challenge us with making a tri-fold card!

Sadly, this is our last week with Mac Mable as our Guest Designer and I would like to say THANK YOU for taking the time to join us this past month with all of your amazing creations!  Come check out JUGS to see what Mac Mable and the rest of the Design Team have created with a tri-fold.

This was definitely a challenge for me!  I had a really hard time wrapping my head around this one and had many failed attempts.  Used an unknown circle/candle die, lined up the other circles over the first two panels.  Framed the first 2 circles with blue and green frames.  Added the die cut happy which I covered with some clear gloss on the front and stamped the remaining sentiments on the next 2 panels.

Come share your tri-fold creations with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #629 - Photo Week

It's time for Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Cecile has a fun photo for our inspiration!

Hop on over to JUGS to see how this photo inspired our fabulous Guest Designer, Mac Mable and the rest of the Design Team.

I loved all of the different words on the colorful rocks, so I went with Circled Sentiments from Altenew stamped in multiple colors.  Layered onto some orange striped paper and onto a turquoise card base.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #628 - Color Week

It's time for Color Week at Just Us Girls and it's my turn to choose the challenge colors.  I chose to use Red, Black and White.  I went with these colors because I have been working on some decor and cards for my grandson's graduation and these are his school colors.

Come on over to JUGS to see what our fabulous Guest Designer - Mac Mable and the rest of the Design Team have created using these colors.

This idea actually came from my daughter.  Freehand cut the swoosh in black, die cut the letters and numbers using Concord and 9th alphabet Double Cut Numbers and Letters from red and made into a mini slimline.

And another using a paw print, they are the Bobcats and the same Concord & 9ths alpha/number set.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #627 - Trend Week

It's time for Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Ina has a very cool challenge for us!

We have the amazing Mac Mable with us again this week as our Guest Designer!  Come on over to JUGS to see what Mac and the rest of the awesome Design Team have created using foil on alcohol inked background.
Started with a blue alcohol ink Yupo background and added some lines of glue following some of the edges in the alcohol ink with a Sakura glue pen.  After the glue dried, tapped the areas with silver foil to create the silver veins.  It was hard to get a good photo of this.  Added some white die cut leafy branches and layered the sentiment strip which was stamped with silver ink.  Layered onto a mini slimline white card base.

Come play along with us and you could become our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #626 - Word Week

Elizabeth is our hostess this week at Just Us Girls for Word Week and she has chosen the perfect word to inspire us in making our Easter cards!

Since this is the first week of the month, that means a new Guest Designer!  Please welcome Mac Mable!
Come check out JUGS to see what Mac Mable and the rest of the design team have created inspired by the word Egg.

Embossed the brick wall and swiped some Antique Linen Distress ink across it.  Sponged on some light blue ink above the wall and decided it was too intense, so sponged on some white ink to try to soften it.
Stamped the basket, eggs and bunny, colored with Prismacolor markers and fussy cut the whole bunch.  Arranged the eggs in the basket and secured with Press N Seal.  Added the die cut happy along the top of the wall and popped the bunny up peeking over the top and holding the little Easter sign.  Made some grass by tearing a piece of Distress cardstock and then using scissors to cut into it and adhered to the bottom.  Placed the basket so it was sitting in the grass.

Come play along with us and you could become our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.
