Just Us Girls #564 - Photo Week

 It's Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Cecile has chosen a fabulous photo for our inspiration.  

This is our final challenge for the year and our last time with Joyce Mehrberg as our Guest Designer.  Thank  you Joyce for joining us this past month with all of your amazing designs!  Come on over to JUGS to see how this phot inspired Joyce and the rest of the talented Design Team.

I was inspired by the present with the tree on it.  I used a Stamplorations Christmas tree die and used some black and cream striped paper.  Die cut a star from cream and added some Wink of Stella clear for a slight shimmer.  Stamped the sentiment from Technique Tuesday in red.

40th Birthday

 My son turned 40 and this is the card I made to celebrate that milestone!  The challenge at CAS on Friday was the perfect inspiration for this card.

Using a Concord & 9th Turnabout stamp for the background using Brilliance white and blue inks.  Stamped the big 40 with Memento Rich Cocoa and the celebrate in black on a kraft panel then layered onto a blue base.

Just Us Girls #563 - Color Week

 It's Color Week at Just Us Girls and Ina has chosen a beautiful combination for us to play with!

Using my newest purchase from Unity Stamps.  Stamped the Christmas lights, colored them with Touch Twin markers then covered with shimmer pens.  Added some Sakura Stardust Green gel pen to the wires.  Stamped the sentiment from Gina K in a denim blue ink.

Just Us Girls #562 - Trend Week

 It's time for Trend Week at Just Us Girls and it's my turn to hostess.  I am challenging you to do some no line watercoloring.  There are many different ways to achieve the no line look.

I made this for my 96 year old aunt who just lost her 98 year old boyfriend. Using Altenew's Peony Bouquet, stamped the outline image with Gina K Skeleton Leaves then stamped one of the accent pieces in Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick and blended with a water brush.  Stamped and misted the same accent piece in Distress Ink Worn Lipstick and blended again.  For the leaves Distress Ink Peeled Paint was inked, misted and stamped then blended.  Stamped the sentiment from Gina K in black.

Just Us Girls #561 - Word Week

 It's Word Week at Just Us Girls and Vicki has chosen the word Triangle!  Let your imagination run wild!

It's the first Saturday of November and that means it's time for a new Guest Designer!  Please welcome Joyce Mehrberg as our November Guest Designer!  Come on over to JUGS to see what Joyce and the rest of the amazing Design Team have done with Triangles.

I really like these fun little trees from Kaisercraft's Sparkle set that I picked up last year at my LSS.  Stamped the trees in Versamark on blue cardstock and heat embossed with white ep.  Used a teal colored Sakura Stardust gel pen to fill in the open parts for a little sparkle.  Stamped the sentiment from Technique Tuesday's Classic Christmas Sentiments in Memento Teal Zeal and then went over it with the same gel pen.
