Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 12

The 12th and final day of Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2022 Challenge with inspiration from "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" with none other but Ellen Hutson herself!

Such a darling little Rudolph!

Rudolph was stamped first then masked and stamped the Santa.  Colored with Touch Twin markers and silver gel pen on the belt.  Added some fun flock I found in a drawer to the fur trim on his clothes.  Added some Stickles in Diamond for the snow.  Tied it off with some red baker's twine.

It has been so much fun playing along with this challenge with so much inspiration!
Thanks for stopping by!

Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 11

Day 11 of Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas 2022 Challenge with Jingles Bells by Carly Minner.

Started by die cutting 2 Tim Holtz tags, one from white and the other from green.  Inlaid the green letters into the white tag cut outs.  Added the Tim Holtz Santa Hat colored with Touch Twin markers and added some white flock for the fur trim.  Stamped the partial sentiment by taping off the "jingle" and inking only the "all the way" in red ink.  Trimmed it down and added two green Sakura Stardust green dots to either end of the strip.  Tied off with some baker's twine.

Thanks for taking a look!

Twelve Days of Christmas Day 10

Day 10 of the Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2022 Challenge with Amy Tusurta and Frosty the Snowman

This is a very old SU set.  Stamped the snowglobe then Frosty.  Colored with Touch Twin markers including the inside of the snowglobe.  Stamped some little snowflakes in white and heat embossed with clear sparkle ep.  Added some Stickles to the base of the globe.  Tied the top with some blue cord.

Two more days and I should have enough tags for my special gifts.  Thanks for taking a closer look!

Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 9

On to Day 9 of Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas 2022 Challenge with "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" by Daniel West.

Using Clearly Besotted have this prancing reindeer that must has been the culprit that ran over Grandma!  Added blue and silver falling snow to match Grandma's blue and silver in her hair.  Using more yarn from my stash, but had to add some reinker to a baggie to dye it to the right color.

Hopefully this Grandma doesn't get run over by any reindeer!  Thanks for visiting my blog!

Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 8

Day 8 of Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas 2022 Challenge with "I'll be Home for Christmas" inspiration from Tiffany Pryce Russom

Using Gina K stamps from a couple of sets stamped the house image and fussy cut.  Cut some glitter cardstock and inked the edges with Brilliance blue to form the snow drifts.  Used a piece of patterned cardstock that was in my stash and stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts Red Royal ink.  Tied the top with some eyelash yarn from yarn stash.

I always look forward to this event by Ellen Hutson!
Thanks for dropping by!

Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 7

Over halfway through Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas 2022 Challenge and Day 7 features Heather Meeson with “(It Must Have Been Ol’) Santa Claus”.

Using Essentials by Ellen on kraft.  Stamped the Santa and his reindeer team in Versafine Black and the HO3 in red.  Stamped the little snowflakes from the same set in Hero Arts Unicorn White.  Found some glittery thread/yarn in my yarn drawer and tied a bow through the hole.

Can't wait to see day 8 of this challenge!  Thanks for stopping by!

Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 6

Day 6 of Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas 2022 Challenge with inspiration from Angela Simpson with Let It Snow.

Sprayed some blue shimmer spray on the tag for some depth and added the Tim Holtz snowflake border cut from white glitter cardstock.  Heat embossed the sentiment in white ep.  Added some puffy yarn for the tie.  This was hard to get a decent photo with all of the shimmer and sparkle.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 5

Day 5 of Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2022 Challenge with Baby It's Cold Outside with inspiration from Julie Ebersol!

I had this little moose with his leg warmers from Studio G.  Stamped it a second time in red ink and paper pieced the leg warmers.  Stamped and colored with Touch Twin markers.  Added the sentiment on a thin strip and stamped the snowflakes with Brilliance blue ink.  Tied on some blue and red baker's twine.

So much fun playing along with this challenge!  Thanks for stopping by!

Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 4

Day 4 of Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas 2022 Challenge with the song Deck the Halls with Vera Kuprick.

I used the appropriately named set Deck the Halls by Gina K.  Stamped the bulbs and yes I did forget to mask :(.  I used Hero Arts Tide Pool and Lime Green.  Stamped the bulb toppers with Versamark and heat embossed with silver ep.  Stamped the strings with the bows and now I wish I had tried to stamp them by the tops, but wasn't sure if it would hold up on the embossing.  Stamped the sentiment from the same set with Memento Danube Blue.  Pulled out this very old pine bough set, I think it might be SU and stamped in Memento Northern Pine ink.  Topped it off with some green baker's twine tied into a bow.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 3

So much fun playing along with Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2022 Challenge.  Today's theme is Tropical Tags with inspiration from Therese Calvird.

Using a really old SU flamingo and colored with Touch Twin markers.  The wreath and flip flops were colored with gel pens.  Added the "sand" with a stamp that was supposed to be a flower center with Memento Desert Sand ink.  Die cut the tropical foliage (unknown from Amazon) and inked with Distress Inks in Shabby Shutters and Forest Moss by tapping and dragging them across the ink pads.  Added some red baker's twine and tied into a bow.

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 2

On to day 2 of Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2022 Challenge

Stamped the Santa from Unity first and colored with Touch Twin markers, masked him off then stamped all of the snowflakes and heat embossed with white ep.  Left the mask on Santa and sponged on some Broken China Distress ink and then rubbed off the excess with a soft cloth.  Added the tiny strip sentiment to finish it off.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 1

I love the Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas 2022 Challenge.  The Designers are so creative and inspire me to make one-of-a-kind tags for all of my Christmas gifts.

Day 1 - Holly Jolly Christmas with inspiration from Carissa Wiley

I had this holly stamp in my stash and no idea who it is from. Stamped on white cardstock then die cut the tag.  Colored with Touch Twin markers. Stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed with rose gold ep and tied some green baker's twine.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a closer look!

Shimmery Merry & Bright

Playing around with some Perfect Pearls and embossing folders and saw this would be a fit for Let's Squash It!

Masked off the center and applied some Distress Oxide Inks in 2 shades of blue then dusted on some Perfect Pearls in Pearl.  Used a Tim Holtz snowflake embossing folder and realized I had the panel in backwards, so I just went with it and used the debossed snowflake side.  Die cut the Tim Holtz Christmas words from some white glittered cardstock.  The shimmer is amazing in real life!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a closer look!

Just Us Girls #660 - Photo Week

It's Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Carol is our hostess and has chosen this gorgeous Christmas scene photo for our inspiration.  This is also our last challenge for this year.  We will be taking a break for the holiday season, but will be back the first Saturday in January of the new year.

A huge thank you to Karren Johnson for joining us this past month as our fabulous Guest Designer!
Come check out JUGS to see what Karren and the rest of the Design Team have created with this photo as inspiration.

I was inspired by the tree with the beautiful blue ornaments and touches of gold.  I went CAS with this.  Stamped the pine boughs with green ink then stamped the ornament from Gina K in a royal blue ink then with Versamark and heat embossed with a sparkly blue embossing powder.  After the first layer cooled, stamped the little stars with Versamark and heat embossed with gold ep.  Sentiment from Gina K stamped in a royal blue.  Die cut the frame 3 times and mounted over the image panel and adhered to a linen card base.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Die cut the star circle on shimmer cardstock and added some gold ink to the stars.  Die cut a circle and colored with a gold Sharpie and framed the stars.  Die cut some greenery and sponged on a little green ink and arranged above the stars.  Die cut a bow in red 3 times and cut them apart and arranged them to make the bigger bow then covered with red Stickles.  Added a drop of gold Liquid Pearls to the center of the bow.  Put it all together on a red card base.

Just Us Girls #658

It's time for Trend Week over at Just Us Girls and Lisa K is challenging us to make a matching envelope for your card.

Come over to JUGS to see some great ideas for making a matching envelope for your card, Karren Johnson, our fabulous Guest Designer, along with the rest of our amazing Design Team have created some pretty amazing envelopes.

I recently saw some amazing ideas for using vellum by Jennifer McGuire.  Snowflakes embossed on vellum then die cut the front of the purple card base to make a frame then adhered the vellum to the opening and adhered another purple frame to the backside of the front panel.  Die cut the big snowflake from some Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust glitter paper and die cut the Tim Holtz "merry" from the same purple, but felt it needed a little something, so I covered the sentiment with some Nuvo drops giving it iridescent look.  I used the same snowflake embossing folder on the flap of the envelope and rubbed some Brilliance purple ink over the raised snowflakes.

Come share your creations with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #657 - Word Week

It's Word Week at Just Us Girls and Bobby has chosen the word Fence to inspire us this week!

It's the start of a new month and that means that we have a new Guest Designer!  Please welcome Karren Johnson! Hop on over to JUGS to see all of the fences created by   and the rest of the amazing Design Team!

I know that Halloween is over, but this is one of the cards I made for one of my grandsons.  Once again using some patterned paper from my stash which I thought worked well for this spooky little scene.  The mummies are from There She Goes, spider and bats are punches and the fence is an unknown die.  Added some black Stickles to the spider and some Gina K clear gloss to the bats.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Using up bits and pieces laying around on my desk.  A leftover piece of a blue sprayed piece paired up with a piece of leftover snowflake border by Tim Holtz, some small pieces of patterned paper and some more snowflakes that were already die cut paired up with the gnome from a Gina K set and added the Tim Holtz Santa hat and the last one is a toner sheet from Gina K foiled with red and green then added some strips of the striped scraps trying to line them up around the greeting.  All were tied with some Baker's twine that I seem to have a lot of.
