Just Us Girls #824 - Moodboard Week

 It's Moodboard Week at Just Us Girls with Carol Mc as our fabulous hostess and she has chosen an awesome photo for our inspiration!

I was inspired by the groovy colors and shapes along with the lamp.  I chose the lava lamp due to the retro feeling of the Moodboard photo.  Stenciled the background with Hero Arts Neon pink and orange.  Stamped the lamp (a very old Gina K set) with teal ink and colored with alcohol markers in orange and pink then covered the glass of the lamp with some clear glaze gel pen.  Added the sentiment from the same set in orange ink.  Used the same teal ink to shade the frame and card base.

Just Us Girls #822 - Die Week

 It's time for Die Week at Just Us Girls with Vicki as our hostess and she is challenging us to use Word Dies!

We have some exciting news!  We have a new designer joining our team.  Please welcome Denise Morgans to our team!  

We also have a new Guest Designer for the month of May.  Please show a warm welcome to the very talented Kerry Parkinson!

Using Lindy's Magicals, watercolored the background blocks in green and blues.  Stamped the shells and birds from Gina K's Gifts from the Sea and painted the shells with some watered down white gouache paint to lighted them a little.  Die cut the happy with some coordinating teal cardstock and stamped the birthday in Taken with Teal ink on the same watercolor paper and fussy cut and added over the lower part of the die cut.  Matted onto a piece of patterned paper with a splotchy look and mounted onto a white card base.
