Just Us Girls # 621 - Photo Week

We have a fabulous photo to inspire you at Just Us Girls for Photo Week with one of our newest Design Team members - Carol McFarland.

Come check out JUGS to see how our amazing Design Team have been inspired by this photo.

Lots of masking here using some Gina K and a couple of unknown stamps along with a polka dot stencil.  Stamped the basket then lined up the eggs where I wanted them and stamped the bunny to peek over the eggs.  Then masked the bunny and basket to stamp the eggs, with the chicks masked.  The eggs didn't quite fill the basket, so masked the eggs and added a couple of unknown eggs to the sides of the others.  Colored with Touch Twin markers and felt it was lacking a little something, so masked the entire image and stenciled the polka dots on the background.  Added the sentiment by punching with a word window punch and layering it onto a thin strip of black.

Just Us Girls #620 - Color Week

It's time for Color Week at Just Us Girls and Ina has chosen a fabulous color combo for us to play with.

Come on over to JUGS to see what our fabulous Design Team have created using these colors.

Playing with another new purchase, the large gnome from Simon Says Stamp and an older tree cover plate die.  Die cut the tree background from brown cardstock and swiped some darker brown ink across the trunks and adhered to a teal card base.  Die cut the gnome and colored the pieces with alcohol markers and gel pens.  The stripes on the hat look more green, but the pen was a teal color.  Added the hands from another gnome die and sentiment from a Gina K set.

Shimmer Daisy

I am loving one of my latest purchases from Simon Says Stamp and thought that the challenge this week at Freshly Made Sketches was a perfect fit for this die.

Started by spritzing a piece of white cardstock with some yellow shimmer spray, then die cut the daisy square from the sprayed piece and then again from white.  Stamped the Gina K Ribbon Stripe in black, adhered the daisy square and added the Altenew circle sentiment which was heat embossed with black ep.  Put it all together onto a Barely Banana card base.

Thanks for dropping by my blog!

Just Us Girls #619 - Trend Week

It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and I am the hostess for this challenge.  I challenge you to make your own stencil from a die or dies.  You can die cut from plastic/transparency sheet or a piece of cardstock to create your own stencil.  I can't wait to see all the different ways you create your own stencil.

Come check out JUGS to see what our super talented Design Team have created by making their own stencils.

I used a leafy die and die cut out of a transparency sheet and stenciled green ink.  Stamped the sentiment over the top of the leaf with Memento Espresso Truffle and die cut with a circle die.  The background is another sprayed piece and added a strip of patterned paper from my stash.  I just had to add one of my newest purchased dies from Simon Says Stamp - Simple Stem.

This one uses a partial brick wall die that I cut out of regular heavy weight cardstock and sponged Antique Linen Distress ink onto some brown cardstock.  Added the color and shading to the delicate die cuts with Touch Twin markers.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #618 - Word Week

It's Word Week at Just Us Girls and Cecile has chosen the perfect word for us this week!

Come check out JUGS to see what our amazing Design Team have created for Friends.

A lot of foiling going on here!  I used Gina K's Foil Mates.  The background was foiled with Shattered Silver and the circle sentiment piece with Radiant Red.  Foil is so hard to get a good photo of!  This one will be going off to my bestie for Valentine's Day!

Share your Friends creations with us at JUGS and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.
