Frosty

Playing with my Tim Holtz snowman which fits the challenges at Cardz 4 Guyz #260 Snowman/men and The Male Room Challenge #145 - Tartan & Plaid.

Die cut my big snowman from Tim Holtz and colored his arms, hat and nose with Touch Twin markers.  Added some black gel pen dots for the eyes, mouth and buttons.  Trimmed a piece of plaid patterned paper to make a scarf and hat band.  Shaded the body with a light gray Touch Twin marker.  The background uses a Tim Holtz plaid stencil and Lawn Fawn Gingham background stamp.  Added the strip of black cardstock to join the stamped areas.

100 Year Celebration!

My aunt asked if I could make a birthday card for a beautiful lady who is turning 100 on Christmas day and this is what I came up with using the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!

Started with a Core'dinations Glitter Silk background piece.  Stamped the polka dot background from Cornish Heritage Farms with Delicata Rose Gold ink and stamped the 100 from Gina K's Lots of Dots Alphabet and die cut with Spellbinders label die and Tim Holtz tag die.  Stamped the birthday in the same rose gold ink.  Die cut the balloons (WPlus9 - Whole Lotta Happy) from pink cardstock with gold embossed vellum adhered with Score Tape and added some floss strings.  Die cut the happy from the same WPlus9 set from some white glittery cardstock.  Put it all together and adhered to a kraft card base.

Do you think she will like it?  Thanks for stopping by!

Dashing Through the Snow

Another Christmas card done!  I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and the theme of snow for CAS on Friday.

First stamped the prancing little Rudolph from Clearly Besotted - Let's Prance and masked him.  Stamped the flourish of snow from an old Inkadinkado set with Brilliance blue ink for a little shimmer.  Colored the deer with a combination of Prismacolor pencils, Touch Twin markers and black gel pen. Added a drop of Gina K crystal drops to his nose and sprinkled with red glitter.  Stamped the sentiment with red ink and layered onto a red card base.

Santa Sketch

Great sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch!

I've had this Santa image in my stash for a long time and I don't think I've ever used him.  Colored with Touch Twin markers, Prismacolor pencils with Gamsol and the smaller gel pens.  Embossed the sentiment in white and got a few unwanted flecks, so pulled out some white acrylic paint and splattered over the whole panel for a snow effect.

Thanks for dropping by for a closer look!
