Just Us Girls #724 - Anything Goes Stencil

It's Anything Goes Stencil Week at Just Us Girls and Carol M. is our hostess for this challenge.  The sky is the limit with this challenge!  Pull out your stencils and inspire us with your creations!

A huge Thank You to Colleen Begley for joining us as our Guest Designer this past month!  Just hop on over to JUGS for some fabulous inspiration from Colleen and the rest of our awesome Design Team.
This was inspired by the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers by Didedi's Crafty Corner to create an underwater scene.  I used a sunburst stencil for the light shining down through the water.  Blended numerous shades of blue Distress Inks on watercolor paper, splattered with water and then shimmer spray.  The octopus is an old one from Gina K and the seaweed is part of a larger die cut from green then shaded with a darker green and finally misted with some seafoam green shimmer spray.

Come share your stencil creations with us and you could be chosen as our next Winner of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Check out JUGS to see what our Guest Designer, Colleen Begley and the rest of our talented Design Team have created with the Moodboard as inspiration.

Using more AI ladies!  I was inspired by the 3 girls having fun, but my girls are slightly more colorful.  Their wine started out as cabernet, but after adding the glaze pen, which was labeled clear it became rose.  Added the celebrate which seemed appropriate for those girls toasting with their wine.  Used a piece of extremely old patterned paper from my stash.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Winner of the Week, which would then  make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Desigern!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Using random stamps from my stash that have never been inked.  Stamped the cloud in gray then masked and stamped the waterdrops in Brilliance Blue giving some shimmer.  The sentiment is computer generated and printed on vellum.  Matted onto a piece of blue cardstock and onto a gray card base.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Winner of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

One more for my Aunt's 100th birthday!  She definitely rocks!  Using a Golden Oldie from Art Impressions.  Stamped white polka dots onto some purple cardstock and some orange speckles onto some yellow cardstock.  Stamped the image onto those stamped pieces and cut our the pants and umbrella and paper pieced onto the main image.  The rest is colored with alcohol markers.  Added the sentiment on a strip of white and added the sun which was a punch using some shimmer mustard cardstock.  Matted with some orange and placed onto a purple card base.

Come join us with your creation and you could be chosen as our Next Winner of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

This is for my amazing Aunt who is turning 100 very soon.  For her 90th she was disappointed that she didn't get any funny/humorous cards, so ever since then I have tried to humor her!  She is still going strong!  She lives alone, still drives (bought a new car a year ago), is in good health and sharp as a tack!

This started with Gina K Inspiration Mosaic and then stamped the birds, leafy branches, and footprints into the blocks by masking off as needed.  Colored all the birds with alcohol markers all on a Gina K heavyweight card base (no bleed through).  It was too plain, so masked off and blended green Distress Ink around the edge.

Come play along with us and Time Out and you could be chosen as our next Winner of the Week and or a winner over at Time out.  If you are our WOW then you would become eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

This week is our CASE a DT Member at Just Us Girls with Carol Mc as our hostess.  You can CASE any of the cards from this week's post on our blog.

Check out JUGS for inspiration from our amazing Design Team. Who will you choose to CASE?

This is for one of my grandsons for his 10th birthday.  I found this black and white patterned paper from Mel McCarthy on Flickr which I thought paired perfectly with the game controller.  Die cut the game controller and all of the pieces and put it all together.  Added a pow type image which was stamped, fussy cut and covered with some Stickles.  Added the colored strips to match the controller and stamped the sentiment.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Winner of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Started with some gray cardstock and used a cobblestone stencil with some texture paste.   The sentiment is from Scrapbook.com stamped on some vellum with Stazon black ink.  Die cut the open heart and placed the vellum over the right side and under the left side of the heart and adhering to the back side of the stenciled panel.  Layered onto a white card base.

Just Us Girls #714 - Moodboard Week

It's time for our Moodboard Week at Just Us Girls and Ina has chosen a beautiful one for our inspiration.

Come check out our JUGS blog to see what our fabulous Guest Designer, Denise Morgans and the rest of our amazing Design Team have created with the Moodboard as inspiration.

A little recycling going on, the background is the top of a Kleenex box which I thought picked up the colors and the water look from the Moodboard.  Die cut an oval in white to cover the raw edge of the opening.  I was playing around and smeared purple and blue Distress Oxide inks over some white cardstock, then embossed with a bubble ef which I inked with some more DO ink before embossing.  I didn't like the original effect, so sprayed that embossed panel with some Seafoam shimmer spray.  Matted with some very old SU Vintage Violet.  Stamped the shells from Gina K onto some patterned paper and fussy cut then used Prismacolor pencils on the shell in the front for more definition.  Added the sentiment that was stamped in teal ink and die cut and put it all together onto a blue card base.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Winner of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #713 - Word Week

It's Word Week at Just Us Girls and Elizabeth has chosen the perfect word with Valentine's Day right around the corner - Love!

Come on over to JUGS to see what our Guest Designer Denise Morgans and the rest of our Design Team have created for LOVE.

And yes, this is another masculine Valentine since I have all grandsons.  Found this piece of striped cardstock in my stash and die cut the sentiment from the striped piece in the opposite direction that I used it on the background.  Die cut the shadow die in red.  Had the big heart laying in my pieces bowl and added a little mirrored heart from the same stash.  Stamped the you, which is actually part of a larger sentiment, die cut it and then fussy cut just the you.  Matted with the same red and the shadow and put it together onto a kraft card base.

Come play along with us at JUGS and you could be chosen as our next Winner of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

I'm also entering this over at The Male Room - Valentine/Use a Heart

And it is also a fit for the challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz - Love

Just Us Girls #712 - Color Week

It's time for Color Week at Just Us Girls and I am the hostess.  Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I have chosen some very classic colors to help get those cards done.  And it doesn't have to be a Valentine's card, do whatever these colors inspire you to make.

First, I would like to welcome the talented Denise Morgans as our Guest Designer for the month of February!
Come on over to JUGS to see what Denise and the rest of our amazing Design Team have created with this color combo.

Pretty simple!  I had this piece of alcohol ink background laying on my desk with red and pink.  Die cut the hearts, die cut the row of 3 squares and layered onto some gold glitter cardstock.  Added the strip sentiment stamped in red and put it together onto a white card base.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Winner of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

I would like to enter this at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge as well, using the left column:  heart, red and punch or die cut.

Just Us Girls #711 - Stencil Week

It's time for our newest challenge at Just Us Girls - Anything Goes Stencil Week!  Our lovely hostess for this challenge is Ina.  You can make anything, any theme as long as it includes a stencil.

Hop on over to JUGS to see how our Guest Designer, Stef Perry and the rest of our fabulous Design Team have used stencils this week.

I used Heart Bouquet stencil from Echo Park that I found at our fabulous Ben Franklin who happens to have a great assortment of stamping/scrapbooking supplies.  I wanted to try a different approach and decided to use Sakura Stardust gel pens in pink, red and green and traced the designs instead of sponging or spraying.  I kind of like the results of this clean, open look with all of the shimmer.  Used an unknown die from my stash cutting the hugs from white glitter cardstock and the shadow from red.  After putting it all together I wish I would have colored the white glitter open heart that is peeking out from behind the sentiment.

Come join us and you could be chosen as our next Winner of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

I would also like to link this to Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  I used the left row - heart, red and die cut/punch.

It's also a fit for the Inkspirational Challenge to use stencils.

Just Us Girls #710

It's time for our Moodboard Week at Just Us Girls and Lisa has chosen a very cozy Moodboard for our inspiration.

Come check out JUGS to see how our very talented Guest Designer, Stef Perry and the rest of our amazing Design Team were inspired by this Moodboard.

I was inspired by the colors and some of the texture and came up with this masculine Valentine.
Embossed the background using kraft cardstock then swiped some Weathered Wood Distress ink across the raised areas.  Used the same kraft for the larger heart and the insert on the sentiment.  The striped paper was in my scrap pile and the smaller striped heart is the inside of an envelope adhered to some cardstock for some stability.  Colored the outline of the sentiment with a dark gray marker.  Did direct to paper on a white card base with the Weathered Wood ink to coordinate with the rest of the card.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Winner of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #709 - Word Week

It's time for word week at Just Us Girls and I'm the hostess this week and I have chosen the word Sparkle!  Lot of things Sparkle and I went with a gem.

Hop on over to JUGS to see what our fabulous Guest Designer, Stef Perry and the rest of the amazing Design Team have created with Sparkle in mind.
The gem is a 2 piece that the base was cut from white sparkle cardstock and the outline from white which I colored with a silver marker.  Die cut the white layer with the quilt type texture and added some turquoise Sakura Stardust gel pen dots for more sparkle.  Stamped the sentiment directly onto the white layer and added to a turquoise card base.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Winner of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Encourage-mint

Creating a card for my grandson at college, just to let him know how much I love him and believe in him.

Using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and the theme from The Male Room Funny/Pun

Die cut the three squares from white linen cardstock then placed some black and white grid paper behind the openings.  Stamped the mints and die cut them with the coordinating dies from Concord & 9th Be Mine stamp set and colored with glaze gel pens then covered the mints with clear glaze to shine.  Stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and mounted it all onto a bright blue card base.

Do you think he will like it?  I'd love to know what you think.  Thanks for dropping by!
