Just a Note

I am loving the sketch for this week's challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!

Die cut the Spellbinders label, covered with Versamark and heat embossed with Stampendous Aged Marine embossing enamel.  Peony Bouquet by Altenew stamped in blues and green leaves.  Layered onto a piece of green striped paper and a teal card base.  The sentiment was stamped into the oval, but didn't look right to me, so stamped it again on a piece of teal, trimmed and then hand cut the fish tail ends.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

A Shell in your Pocket

Just Us Girls #581 - Photo Week

It's time for Photo Week at Just Us Girls and  Bobby has chosen a beautiful springy photo for our inspiration.

Sadly, this will be our last week with our April Guest Designer, Claire Apostoloff.  Thank you Claire for joining us this past month with all of your awesome creations!  Now, hop on over to JUGS to see what Claire and the rest of the Design Team have created with this photo as inspiration.

Using this very old SU image I found in my stash of previously stamped images.  Colored with a combination of Touch Twin markers and Prismacolor pencils.  Stamped the background using Memento Rich Cocoa on Gina K Mustard cardstock.  Stamped the sentiment, die cut and added the green tab and bow to the end.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Birthday and More

I used the Color Hues for my daughter's birthday card

For some reason, this was really hard to get a decent photo of.  Stamped and embossed diagonal stripes and gingham with yellow ep on gray cardstock.  Stamped the polka dot strip and heat embossed again with yellow ep and layered onto a yellow strip.  Stamped the flowers in Slate Gray on yellow and used Touch Twin markers for a little shading and yellow Stickles for the flower centers.  Added the little happy birthday strip and layered onto a yellow card base.

And then playing along with Twofer Card Challenge - Leaves

Using my fairly new Gingko Leaves from Unity stamped once on the sympathy card and created a background stamping several times on the hello card.  Colored with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol.
The sympathy card also has some tone on tone leaves for a subtle background.

Thanks for taking the time to take a closer look!

Shiny Birthday Balloons

Working on some birthday cards, which fit right in with challenge #194 at Addicted to CAS.

Stamped the balloons from Stamplorations then masked them off and masked off a rectangular area around them and sponged in some ink.  Added some Nuvo Drops and Clear Glossy accents to the balloons.  Stamped the sentiment on a thin strip and added over the balloon strings.
