Just Us Girls #447 - Wild Card

This month has 5 Saturdays which make this Wild Card Week at Just Us Girls and Vicki has a great challenge for us - Anything Goes!

Sadly, this is our last week with our June Guest Designer, Hannelie Bester and I want to say Thank You for joining us this past month with all of your awesome designs!  Now, come on over to the JUGS blog to see what Hannelie and the rest of the Design Team have created for this challenge.

I had this background laying on my desk from when we played with alcohol inks and decided to put it to use.  Stamped the flourish from Technique Tuesdays with Archival Ink in Paradise Teal and the flowers from Unity and leafy branches from Gina K in black Archival Ink.  The sentiment was heat embossed with gold ep also from Gina K.  I couldn't find a base in the color I wanted, so I used a Touch Twin marker to color around the edges of a Gina K heavy weight white base to match.  No bleed through with the Gina K heavy weight white!

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

100th Birthday

This was made for an amazing man who was celebrating his 100th birthday!  I used the theme from Cardz 4 Guyz - #197 - Metal Madness.

Cardz 4 Guyz Logo

Masked the center rectangle, added Versamaark and Perfect Pearls in silver.  Embossed the background with a diamondplate ef.  Die cut the gears from Tim Holtz and colored with Tim Holtz gold crackle paint, copper nail polish and silver crackle finish nail polish.  Die cut the sentiment and 100 from black glitter paper..

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Just Us Girls #446 - Photo Week

It's time for Photo Week at Just Us Girls with Maria as our hostess and she has chosen this awesome photo for our inspiration!

Pulled out this old, but loved owl image and colored with Touch Twin markers.  Stenciled the background with Distress Oxide ink in Antique Linen then stenciled the brown hearts and adding some Wink of Stella in brown for a little shimmer.

It's time for our Color Week challenge at Just Us Girls and Ina has chosen a very striking color combo!

The background stripes is a very old stamp I found in my collection and stamped with black ink.  The roses are from Altenew and stamped in shades of red and the leaves in shades of green for my additional color.  the sentiment was also stamped in a red ink.

Just Us Girls #444 - Trend Week

It's time for Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Bobby has chosen Alcohol Inks!  I only had a few so I made some by adding dye reinkers to alcohol.  You can also use Sharpies by pulling out the core and putting it into alcohol.

We have Hannelie Bester with us again this week as our Guest Designer.  Be sure to check of the JUGS Blog to seen how Hannelie and the rest of the amazing Design Team have used alcohol inks on their creations.

Started by using my homemade blue and green alcohol inks by spraying the glossy photo paper with alcohol then dropping on the colors and blowing it around with a straw.  Repeated the process until I was happy with the results.  Then embossed it with an embossing folder, then tapping Versamark onto the raised parts of the embossing after using my embossing buddy and added some gold ep and heat embossed.

Just Us Girls #443 - Word Week

It's Word Week Challenge time at Just Us Girls and it's my turn to choose the word and I have chosen the word "Outside".  This leaves a lot of room for interpretation!  Think of anything that is literally Outside or and image that runs outside of the frame which could be stamped or die cut.

I would like to welcome our June Guest Designer, Hannelie Bester!  Come on over to JUGS to see how Hannelie and the rest of the amazing Design Team have interpreted this weeks Word Challenge.

I used my new hydrangea stamp from Gina K, which flowers are outside and cut the panel by using my paper cutter up to the edges of the flowers and leaves, then fussy cut around then so that the image runs out of the box.  I used Distress Inks to watercolor the image and then added some yellow gel pen dots to the center of the flowers.  Layered onto a piece of gray and white polka paper.  Stamped the lacy border, also from Gina K with black ink on some old Vintage Violet that I have hoarded from Stampin Up.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3!
