Just Us Girls #533 - Photo Week

It's time to get inspired by Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Maria has chosen a beautiful and happy photo for us.

Sadly, this is our last week with Cornelia Wenokor as our Guest Designer and I would like to say Thank You for joining us this past month with all of your awesome creations!  Now, come check out JUGS to see how Cornelia and the rest of the Design Team were inspired by this photo.

I pulled out some older Gina K sets - Ribbon Stripes and Spring Basket.  Using my MISTI, stamped the flowers on watercolor paper, then flipped in upside down and stamped them again.  Masked off the flowers and stamped the stripes in Memento Flannel Gray.  Watercolored the flowers with Inktense Pencils.  The sentiment got lost on the stripes, so stamped it again on a white strip and added it over a think black strip of paper.  Matted onto some black and onto a Dandelion Yellow card base.

I'm also adding this to Stamp TV April Challenge

How does the photo inspire you?  Come share your creations with us at JUGS and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible for a chance to become our next Guest Designer.  Please limit your entries to 3.

Bleached Hydrangea

I had so much fun bleaching on my last card, that I had to do it again.  This is another one for the April CAS Mix Up Card Challenge.

First I inked up a white panel with various Distress and Distress Oxide inks.  Stamped the Gina K Heartfelt Hydrangea with Versamark and heat embossed with gold ep.  Bleached the flowers and leaves.  Added some chalks to the leaves and flowers to give them more depth.  Stamped the sentiment with Stampin' Up Vintage Violet ink on white and cut it out.  Layered onto a Vintage Violet base.
Stamping, heat embossing, sponging, chalks and bleaching.

Thanks for taking a look!

Bleached Just Because

At the CAS Mix Up Challenge they want us to use bleach and I thought the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!  would work perfectly with these very old Stampin Up boxed flowers.

Stamped the flowers (a very old set from Stampin' Up) with Versamark and heat embossed with gold ep on some old Stampin Up Vintage Violet, which I had hoarded.  I die cut the squares out of Kraft and lined up the images to stamp them using my MISTI.  Added bleach with a Q-tip on the petals.   Finished off by stamping the sentiment from Hero Arts in black.
Stamping, die cutting, heat embossing and bleaching.

I really like how the bleached petals turned out.  What do you think?  Thanks for stopping by!

Just Us Girls #532 - Color Week

It's time for our Color Week at Just Us Girls and Bobby has chosen a great color combo for us to play with!

Come on over to JUGS to see what our Guest Designer, Cornelia and the rest of the awesome Design Team have created with these colors.

Using Altenew's Bottleful.  Stamped the bottle with brown ink and die cut with the coordinating die.  Added some Glossy Accents to the bottle for shine and some bronze metallic gel pen to the cap.  Cut the striped label and inked with some rust colored ink.  Stamped the sentiment label with navy ink and layered onto some navy striped paper and a navy oval.  Used some of the same striped paper and inked it with brown ink for the fish tail strip.  Stamped the background with a houndstooth background stamp using brown ink on rust cardstock.  Used some Tim Holtz Shattered series cardstock to layer the bottle on.  Put it all together on a navy card base.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #531 - Trend Week

It's time for Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Cecile has a fun trend for us and something that I don't normally do.

Cornelia is with us again this week as our April Guest Designer!  Visit JUGS to see what Cornelia and the rest of our Design Team have created.

Stamped the numbers background from Unity with Golden Glitz ink onto black cardstock.  Used Deco Foil Transfer Gel and a chevron stencil and foiled some shattered gold foil.  Stamped the candles and sentiment from Concord & 9th in black and added some gold metallic gel pen accents on the candles and Sakura Stardust gel pen on the candle flames.  The candles were stamped on white and then colored the background around them with a Touch Twin marker in Goldenrod.

Join us with your square creations and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just Us Girls #530 - Word Week

It's the first week of a new month and that means it's time for Word Week at Just Us Girls and Ina has chosen Feathers for our inspiration!

I's like to welcome our April Guest Designer - Cornelia Wenokor!  Check out the feather creations by Cornelia and the rest of the JUGS Design Team.

Pretty simple one layer card on ivory cardstock.  Stamps from Unity.  Stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with Touch Twin markers and added the sentiment from the same set with Memento Espresso Truffle ink.  Added some brown Wink of Stella to the flower centers.

After this was done, I thought it still was lacking something, so sponged some Distress Antique Linen ink and a little more detail to the image.  I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.
