Just Us Girls #658

It's time for Trend Week over at Just Us Girls and Lisa K is challenging us to make a matching envelope for your card.

Come over to JUGS to see some great ideas for making a matching envelope for your card, Karren Johnson, our fabulous Guest Designer, along with the rest of our amazing Design Team have created some pretty amazing envelopes.

I recently saw some amazing ideas for using vellum by Jennifer McGuire.  Snowflakes embossed on vellum then die cut the front of the purple card base to make a frame then adhered the vellum to the opening and adhered another purple frame to the backside of the front panel.  Die cut the big snowflake from some Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust glitter paper and die cut the Tim Holtz "merry" from the same purple, but felt it needed a little something, so I covered the sentiment with some Nuvo drops giving it iridescent look.  I used the same snowflake embossing folder on the flap of the envelope and rubbed some Brilliance purple ink over the raised snowflakes.

Come share your creations with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

I'm anxious to try that vellum card idea, Sue. You did a beautiful job with it and I love the purple rubbed over the embossing on the envelope flap.
