The challenge at CASology is to create a card of hope.  I also used the sketch from retro sketches

 

 

 

I made this for a very young child who was recently diagnosed with leukemia and hope this brings a little brightness to his day.  Stamped and colored the image and sentiment with Touch Twin markers.  Die cut circles, inverted scalloped circle and pennant pieces with Spellbinders dies.

Treasure Each Day

Treasure each day, because life is just too short.

I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch! and the challenge to use no stamps at CAS-ual Fridays

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Made the pocket with some free digi dp from Mel Stampz and used a Scor-Bug to pierce the holes and a black gel pen for some faux stitching.  Made the flowers on the tag with Tombow markers by using the tips of the markers to make the petals (tutorial on Tombow Blog).  Colored the twine with the same marker used to make the petals.  The sentiment and flourish are rub ons.  Card base is Gina K Pure Luxury Jelly Bean cardstock.

A Classic

 

The movie theme for the challenge this week at Drunken Stampers is Grease

 

The stamps are from Repeat Impressions and they were stamped with Versafine Onyx ink on kraft.  Die cut with Spellbinders Labels, Rectanges and Pennant dies.  Dp is from My Mind's Eye.

Chevrons

This is for the Card Creations Week:  The Chevrons Challenge at Moxie Fab

 

 

Used the Gina K set - Spoon Me.  Stamped the glasses with Memento Rhubarb Stalk, covered the lenses with clear glaze pen, cut out and added the rhinestone hearts.  Stamped the sentiment on some chevron dp with Versafine Black.  Punched some flowers out of some scrap dp and added the I-Rock bling to the centers.

Birthdays

 

The movie theme challenge at Drunken Stampers is 16 Candles

and the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch

 

And The Washi Tape Challenge at Moxie Fab plus the sketch at Retro Sketches

 



Stamped the candles ($ stamp from Michael's) twice, giving me 16 candles and colored with Touch Twin markers.  Added 2 strips of green striped washi tape, tied some orange baker's twine and added the Sizzix file tab stamped with Gina K's Calendar Bits and Pieces.  Layered onto the navy polka dot background, a Darice embossing folder colored in with white gel pen then onto a piece of Gina K's Jelly Bean and a white card base.  This also fits the negative die space challenges at JUGS and Moxie Fab.

Next is using the negative die space for challenges at JUGS and Moxie Fab and for the Muse inspiration challenge #8

 

I am loving this fun sentiment stamp I picked up at my LSS by Rubber Stampede.  Stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black on the pink striped dp and layered behind the dark pink negative scalloped circle die cut with pop dots.  Added a couple strips of black and white washi tape and tied some pink baker's twine.  Popped up on the black card base.

This would also fit the Moxie Fab Washi Tape Challenge.

 

Both of these also fit for the CAS on Sunday birthday challenge.

Moxie Fab Cameras

There is a fun challenge at Moxie Fab - The Camera Craze Challenge.

This also fits for the Chevron Challenge at Moxie Fab.  The camera was stamped twice and colored with Touch Twin markers.  The lens is popped up and the view finder and bottom part are adhered directly to the main camera to give some dimention.  Added some clear glaze pen to the lens and the view finder.  The camera and photo are from the Gina K set - Spoon Me.  Added some strips of washi tape or some fun and added the sunburst behind the camera for a flash effect.  The flash needed a little something, so added some Sakura Stardust gel pen in yellow for some sparkle.

First is the sketch challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch!

 

Embossed a piece of white linen cardstock with SU embossing folder, added 2 strips of washi tape.  Stamped the Gina K sentiment from Fanciful Labels and die cut with Spellbinders petite oval.  Spellbinders grommet tag was die cut with black cs and the ends cut off and attached with white brads.

 

Next is the sketch challenge at The House that Stamps Built

 

 



Stamped the balloons from Repeat Impressions and colored with Touch Twin markers.  Die cut the bottom border with a Spellbinders borderabilities die.  Added a couple strips of washi tape and the die cut cloud using line textured cardstock.

Wooden Flowers and More Music

Time to play along with Just Us Girls again.  The challenge this week is a sketch:

 

 

Inked some Mustard cs with various Distress Inks for a "wood"  look.  Wasn't happy with it, so then embossed it with a woodgrain ef.  Stamped the flower pot from Gina K Buds and Vases, then cut it out.  Punched out the flowers, after adding some darker ink to the embossed piece.  Sponged some more darker Distress Ink for more definition.  Embossed a piece of Sandy Beach cs with the CB Twigs folder and lightly sponged some Antique Linen Distress Ink over the raised parts.  I had some I-candy pieces that were the wrong color, so colored them with a Touch Twin marker.

 

And another card for the Drunken Stampers challenge - The Sound of Music.

 

 

Stamped the drumset from Gina K - Live Life Loud and heat embossed with blue ep. Die cut the ovals and labels with Spellbinders dies.  Dp is from my stash.  Cardstock:  Gina K Pure Luxury Wild Dandelion, White and In The Navy.  Added the sentiment made with a label maker.  It looked too plain, so I added metallic blue gel pen accents and the I-Rock blue gems.

Sound of Music

 

I stumbled across another challenge blog, Drunken Stampers and their challenge this week is The Sound of Music

 

 

Stamps:  Gina K Lovely Labels and Live Life Loud

accessories:  Spellbinders, washi tape, glittered chevron stickers, black glaze pen and silver gel pen,

 

Used some black and white dp for the background.  Stamped the guitar, colored, cut out and popped up on the polka dotted dp.  Heat embossed the label stamp with black ep, die cut and popped up over the image panel.  Had a little smudge, so added the chevron strips in with with guitar.  Put a piece of green striped washi tape on white cs and die cut.  The sentiment didn't show up very well, so stamped it again on white cs and cut out and layered onto the banner piece.  Added the green and silver glittered chevron strips to the black layer and adhered it all to a white card base.
