Thought I would try a different size card for the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays

 

 

This card is 4 x 6.  Die cut the tag and large heart with Sizzix dies and the little heart is a punch.  Tied the tag with baker's twine, added washi tape across the heart and down the side of the card.  Very quick an easy.

Authentique Paper Sketch

When I saw the sketch challenge at Authentique Paper I knew I had to play along.

 

 

I chose to use the fun papers from the Lollipop Shoppe set.  Cut the background strips in varying lengths and adhered to the white card base.  Die cut the triangles from the floral patterned paper from the same set and cut the banner pieces in white to make the triangle pieces stand out a little more.  Stamped the sentiment letters by Gina K - Lots of Letters with Colorbox Prussian Blue ink on white and punched out with a 3/4" punch and glued to the pennant.  Folded the top edge of the banner pieces over the twine and glued down to keep the twine in place.  Also glued each banner piece to the base.

Double Embossed Enamel

Just Us Girls has a fun technique challenge this week - double embossed enamel.

This first one didn't turn out quite the way I expected, but I kind of like the result.  Embossed white cs with a Versamark inked poppy embossing folder and heat embossed with black ep.  Next ran it through with a lattice embossing folder.  Added some washi tape and adhered to a white card base.

This one uses Tim Holtz Distress ep in Tea Dye. The second embossing was done wth the Swiss Dots folder.  It's hard to see the second embossing in these photos, but I love the look irl.

Bright Valentine

I used the sketch from MOJO Monday

 

Stamped the hearts from Gina K's Happy Hearts with Memento Rose Bud and Teal and cut them out.  Stamped the Lovely Labels 1, also by Gina K, in Memento Tangelo and colored the frame in with a Prismacolor marker, then die cut with Spellbinders Labels 1.  Used dp scraps from my stash, some fun solid washi tapes and the chipboard Scrabble tiles that I picked up a couple of days ago.  Colored the diamonds and dots on the larger heart in with gel pens.

Valentine Sketch

I used the sketch from Just Us Girls

 

 

The stamps are by Gina K - Heartily Yours and Special Delivery and SU Linen background.  Stamped with Memento inks in Tuxedo Black, Gray Flannel, Angel Pink and Lady Bug.  After stamping the images, I had a tiny red smudge, so I overstamped the image panel with the Linen stamp in Angel Pink to hide my oops.  The little hearts are filled in with Sakura Stardust clear gel pen.

Sketch Challenge

Stamps by Gina K: Pretty Patterns and Tag You're It!.  Stamped the Pretty Patterns with Memento Tuxedo Black ink then colored the circles wth Touch Twin Makers.  Stamped the sentiment and die cut with Spellbinders circles and layered.  Added orange gel pen dots on the yellow layer.  Added a strip of washi tape and adhered the sentiment.  Quick and easy!

New Year

The hustle and bustle of the holidays is done!

There is a great color challenge at The Play Date Cafe

 

 

Die cut the tag out of watercolor paper.  Smeared Distress Inks on my craft sheet and misted with water, then soaked the colors up with my tag.  Stamped the flourish by Kitchen Sink Stamps in Teal, stamped the sentiment in purple, added a purple reinforcement circle, added a sheer gold bow.  Stamped the Hearts by Gina K with Versamark on some more inked watercolor paper and heat embossed with gold ep.  Cut the hearts out and layered onto the tag.  Stamped another Kitchen Sink flourish in Teal on Pale Plum cardstock and adhered the tag.  Layered onto a dark teal card base.
