Copper Birthday

Having fun playing with foil and Stickles!  I used the colors for the CAS on Friday Challenge #142 - Copper-Black and White.

CAS on Sunday

I printed the background from Mel Stampz on a laser printer and foiled with copper foil.  Colored in some of the areas with a black Touch Twin marker and some of the other open areas with copper Stickles.  Stamped the sentiment from Concord & 9th with Versamark and heat embossed with copper ep.  Layered onto some black cardstock and then onto a white card base.  Hard to get a good photo with all of the sparkle and shine.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just Us Girls #460 - Wild Card Week

We have 5 Saturday's this month, so that means that this week at Just Us Girls is Wild Card Week!  That means that the hostess can choose anything she wants for our challenge and Angie has chosen Stripes.

This is our last week with our September Guest Designer, Julie Beech and I would like to say THANK YOU for joining us this past month and sharing all of your talent with us!  How is Julie and the rest of the Design Team going to incorporate stripes into their creations?  Come on over to the JUGS blog to see!

I just got this flower set from Stamplorations and couldn't wait to use it.  Stamped the flowers on some pale yellow cardstock then added some depth by coloring with Prismacolor markers.  Hand cut the flowers and added some die cut leaves.  Stamped the sentiment from Gina K on a yellow polka dot strip of patterned paper.  Arranged the flowers and leaves how I wanted them,  placed a piece of Press N Seal on top of the arrangement, flipped it over and added glue then placed it onto the card.  This was a tip from Jennifer McGuire and it works like a charm!  The black and white striped background was printed from Mel Stampz.

Come on over to JUGS and show us your stripes!  You could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then put you in the running for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just us Girls #459 - Photo Week

It's time for our Photo Week Challenge at Just Us Girls and Maria is our hostess and has chosen this beautiful fall photo for our inspiration.

Check out the JUGS blog to see how this photo inspired our Guest Designer, Julie Beech and the rest of the Design Team.

Mixing some different company's stamps for this one.  The falling leaves and the flourish with the leaves are by Inkadinkado, the sentiment is from Concord & 9th and the Pumpinks are from Gina K.  First stamped the pumpkins and masked them.  Next I stamped the leaves and flourish with the mask in place.  Did the rock n roll technique on the leaves and flourish.  Removed the mask and stamped the sentiment with Memento Espresso Truffle.  Added a little bit of a shadow around the pumpkins.

Come on over to  the JUGS blog and share your creation that is inspired by our Photo and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then put you in the running at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Sending Smiles

I really liked the sketch for this week's challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch! and just had to play along!

Pretty simple and somewhat monochromatic.  I used the striped die from Reverse Confetti die cut from Warm Cocoa cardstock from Gina K.  Stamped and die cut the Painted Flowers from Altenew stamped in gray and yellows.  Added the sentiment from Hero Arts stamped in Memento Espresso Truffle on a mustard card base from Gina K.

Thanks for dropping by!

Just Us Girls #458 - Color Week

It's time for our Color Week at Just Us Girls and this week's beautiful color combo was chosen by this week's hostess, Bobby!

Come on over to the JUGS blog to see what our Guest Designer, Julie Beech and the rest of the amazing Design Team have created using these colors.

This uses Altenew's Painted Flowers and Concord & 9th's Hope.  Stamped the flower outlines and sentiment in Gina K's Slate Gray and the flowers with Hero Arts Dark Quartz stamping off the first layer once and then adding the second detail stamp in the same color for contrast.  Colored the leaves with a light green Prismacolor marker.  Layered on Slate Gray and onto an Artichoke card base.

How do these colors inspire you?  Come share your creations with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Autumn Leaves

Having fun playing with leaves.  When I was much younger I used to like to play in the fallen leaves, but now I can only play with the stamped type.
I have been stalking the Twofer Card Challenge since it started and now I am jumping in for this month's challenge - Leaves.

I used Gina K's A Year of Leaves and colored them with Prismacolor markers on kraft.  The thinking of your card is monochromatic with browns.  I used an embossing folder on the gold layer and sponged some Memento Rich Cocoa ink on it.  Sponged some darker brown ink around the two leaves and sentiment panel.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts. The many thanks card has the leaves randomly stamped around the outer edges on kraft and added the sentiment from Gina K stamped in Memento Espresso Truffle, matted with Dark Chocolate and layered onto a Tomato Soup card base.  All cardstock is from Gina K.

Here they are individually.

Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!

You Mean the World to Me

Loved the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch! so much that I had to do one more!

Stamped the globe from Concord & 9th with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink and then colored the land areas with Prismacolor markers.  The blue paper is from Basic Gray.

Thanks for visiting!

Eek!

Playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch! with this Halloween card.

Stamped the spider and the spider web from some random stamps I have, die cut the circle, added some silver Stardust gel pen to the web and sponged some black ink around the edge.  Foiled some lime green foil onto some yellow cardstock.  Added the die cut letters for the sentiment and layered it onto a Gina K Apple Green card base.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Just Us Girls #457 - Trend Week

It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls and it's Trend Week!  Carol has chosen a fun trend for us, Hand Drawn Elements!

We have Julie Beech with us again this week as our September Guest Designer  .  Come on over to JUGS to see what Julie and the rest of the Design Team have created with adding Hand Drawn Elements.

Carol is asking us to use hand drawn type images and this is the very first stamp set that I had purchased.  It's an old Stampin Up set and I have no idea what the name of it is!  Stamped the outline in Denim Blue and stamped the box part with Lime Green.  The sentiment is much newer and is from Concord & 9th, also stamped in Denim Blue.  Layered it onto a piece of blue and white polka dot paper.  Stamped the stripes down the side of the green base with Distress Oxide ink in Faded Jeans.

Now here is my first card.  I thought we were supposed to actually hand drawn some elements and I can hardly draw stick people!

Used a CASual Fridays set for this simple card.  The dotted circle is from Altenew.  Added the dashes around the edge of the circle and the little stars with a gel pen.  The WTF usually gets a double take at first glance.

Come show us your hand drawn elements and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week,  which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #456 - Word Week

It's time for our Word Week Challenge at Just Us Girls and Ina is our hostess and has chosen the Word - Celebrate!

I would like to welcome our September Guest Designer - Julie Beech.  Come on over to JUGS to see what   and the rest of the Design Team have created with the Word Celebrate as inspiration.

Black balloons for a 60th birthday!  Stamped the sentiment from Gina K and the balloons from WPlus9.  On the inside I stamped the big 60 in gray and the sentiment in black.  Pretty quick and simple!

Come on over to JUGS to show us your celebration creations and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week!  If chosen, that would put you in the running for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.
