I made a birthday card for the Play Date Cafe Challenge http://theplaydatecafe.blogspot.com/2012/05/play-date-cafe-pdcc133.htmlI received the image through Wish RAK at Splitcoaststampers. Colored with Touch Twin Markers. Stamped the In Stitches by Gina K in Night of Navy. Stamped the sentiment on a file tab die by Sizzix. Layered the image over a Spellbinders die and added faux stitches with a navy gel pen. Layered a couple of photo corners and added a dot of Liquid Pearls in Ruby Red.
I needed a wedding card for next weekend and this fits 2 challenges:
The House that Stamps Built - 3 elements http://www.thehousethatstampsbuilt.com/designers-choice-challenge/dcc523-three-elements-challenge/
and the Creative Belli Challenge for Wedding http://bellichallenge.blogspot.com/2012/05/belli-challenge-144-wedding.html
I saw this technique by Julia Stainton here: http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2012/05/tiered-stamping-card-by-julia-stainton.html
Stamped the flowers from an old SU set in Memento London Fog and layered with slate gray cs. Die cut the heart, then embossed with a CB folder, sponged some red ink and sprayed with Triple Thick Gloss Spray by Krylon. Die cut the ovals for the sentiment and added a couple of Prima Flowers and self-adhesive pearls.
This uses the color challenge at Outlawz http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/colorchallenge/forum/topics/may-22-color-challenge
I took a tag and sponged Distress inks, blending them into each other, then flicked some water on it. Stamped the image by Gina K Spring Mix set and the little dragonflies by Technique Tuesday and topped it with a bow made with the Bow Easy. Added the sentiment, also by Gina K. Borderabilties by Spellbinders for some definition.
Thanks for taking a look!
