Just Us Girls - Wild Card

Nancy has a one layer, winter themed card challenge for us this week.  One layer cards are always tough for me, I feel like I really need to add layers!

Don't forget to check out our November Guest Designer, Nancy Penir - Artful Notions!

I had to add the swirly border because my image wasn't quite centered!  I think it turned out to be a good mistake.  The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on Gina K Kraft cardstock and then colored with Prismacolor and Touch Twin Markers.  Added some Sakura clear glaze pen to the poinsettias and bells.  Used Tim Holtz Distress Stickles in Rock Candy on the bow.  The swirls and sentiment (by Basic Gray) were stamped with Memento Luxe ink in Rhubarb Stalk, I wish I would have used some clear embossing powder on the sentiment now.

Just like potato chips, I couldn't stop at one!

Stamped the snowglobe, added some Stickles to the stars and snow.  Reverse masked and sprayed with some shimmer spray over the glass globe.  Heat embossed some snowflakes in white, added the sentiment then sponged blue ink all around.

Just a reminder that Just Us Girls is starting up the Guest Designer position once again!!  Winning  Chic of the Week puts you in the running for the GD spot.  At the end of the month, after we have all of our Chic's of the weeks for that month, the JUGS girls will decide who the Guest Designer will be for the following month!

How to play: Please copy and use our graphic on your post. You need to upload your new project [no back dating please] for this week's challenge to your online blog or to a public photo gallery. Leave a link that goes directly to your project in the Linky Tools form at the bottom of this post. If you upload to online galleries, please use the keyword or tag, JUGS217. After you post to Linky Tools you may also leave a comment here.

Deadline to be considered for the "Chic of the Week" is 9:00 PM EST on Thursday, December 5th. The Linky Tools form will close at that time. Our top pick, "Chic of the Week", will be announced on the following Friday morning.

Thanks for playing with us this week!  We can't wait to see what you create!

Both cards are great! I love the image and the colors on both.....so beautifully colored. If the swirl edge is a mistake on the first card, it is a perfect one. Love the way it looks! On the second card, I love the sponging, the snowflakes & that wonderful snow globe image. Well done!

Both cards are just excellent!! I don't color on kraft enough! What a great inspiration card! The scroll on the edge is the perfect touch! Love when a 'mistake' works out! Super snow globe too!!
