Just Us Girls #327 - Photo Week

Sharyn has an awesome photo this week at Just Us Girls to inspire us in the Photo Challenge.  I love the colors and the nautical theme.

How does this photo inspire you?  Hop on over to Just Us Girls to see how it inspired our Guest Designers - Vicki Parsons and Deepti Malik along with the rest of our Design Team.

It's easy to see that I was inspired by the colors and the patterns.  I stamped the chevron from Gina K - Pretty Patterns 3 times in Memento Nautical Blue with my MISTI.  Stamped the anchor and the rope, also from Gina K and colored with Touch Twin markers and fussy cut them.  The anchor was lost against the chevron, so I sponged a die cut circle tag and adhered the anchor to it.  Stamped the big Celebrate in Memento Luxe Dandelion.  I had to add the little flag tab to cover a small smudge.

Come on over to JUGS and show us how this photo inspires you.  You could be our next Chic of the Week giving you a chance to become our next Guest Designer.  You have until Thursday, January 28th, 9:00 pm.  Please limit your entries to 3.

This card is so awesome and masculine! And it's a dead ringer for the inspiration photo!

I tried to stamp a chevron pattern using my MISTI as well, but did not get the results I wanted! Yours came out beautifully! Such a pretty card!

Awesome chevrons. Love how you backed your anchor. Nice touch with the little flag. Finished it off nicely.

Great layout and card! I really love the rope, it doesn't look like a stamp! Well done as always!

That little flag made the card even more outstanding. (Because there are no mistakes when crafting - you TOTALLY meant to do that!)
