Soccer Birthday Celebration

My grandson lives and breathes soccer and has a birthday coming up soon.  I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches to make his card.

A closeup of the foiled candles

I used a Gina K Foil Mates for the focal piece.  Colored the candles with Touch Twin markers then foiled the candles with gold, sentiment with Turquoise and stars with silver.  Stamped the barbed wire twice with black ink then centered the soccer balls between the two and stamped them in black as well.  Thought it looked too stark, so colored the soccer balls with red and blue Touch Twin markers.  Still wasn't happy so stenciled some stars on the background with Brilliance Yellow.  Layered onto a turquoise card base.

Thanks for stopping by!

SO perfect for your soccer-loving grandson! Isn't that he best part of making our own cards - it can be just right for the recipient?! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

Ohhh those foiled candles are awesome! I have not tried it yet, but I love the look. I am sure your grandson will love this with the added soccer theme and bright stars. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
