Just Us Girls #686

It's Color Week at Just Us Girls and the very talented Elizabeth is challenging us to create with only Pastels!  There are so many options with this color combination.

The start of a new month means that we have a new Guest Designer!  Please welcome very talented Kristin Sluhan who will be joining us for the month of July!  Now, hop on over to JUGS to see what Kristin and the rest of the amazing Design Team have created using pastels.

Using an unbranded embossing folder I inked it with Distress Oxide Speckled Egg and ran through my Big Shot.  Added pink, yellow and green Oxide inks to the raised areas.  Die cut the butterfly from Memory Box then traced onto a piece of vellum.  Colored the vellum with alcohol markers in yellow and orange and adhered to the backside of the die cut.  Added the sentiment from PinkFresh stamped in a medium blue ink.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

I'm also adding this to Can You Handle the Pressure? challenge for it's Anything Goes with a Twist of Butterflies.

Sue, you have mastered the inked embossing folder (I'm still trying) and the coloring of its flowers after embossing! The vellum butterfly is fab too! Pretty card!

Gorgeous embossed background for that beautiful butterfly Sue.

Inking the background first makes a great soft background to your lovely embossed flowers, Sue.
