Once again we have a fifth Thursday this month, which means it's time to CASE a DT Member at Just Us Girls! You can CASE any of the cards from this week's post. Who will inspire you?
Come on over to JUGS to see what our talented Design Team have created this week and get inspired to play along with us!
Another whale card! This one is going to one of my grandsons as some encouragement as he heads off for his freshman year at college. The background was first embossed with an embossing folder then stenciled with large "bubbles" in blues and small "bubbles" in white. Die cut the unknown fishnet and loosely adhered to the background leaving room for the sequins to get caught in the net. Used a stamp storage pouch for the shaker, like seen on Jennifer McGuires blog adding the colored and clear sequins. Shaded the whale in shades of blue, black gel pen on the eye and Stickles on the water spout. Stamped the sentiment onto a piece of vellum with Azure Stazon ink and die cut with a fishtail die. Framed the shaker with an old piece of Bordering Blue SU cardstock and onto a gray card base.
Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Winner of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer! Please limit your entries to 3.
This is also a fit for TIME OUT Challenge - Friendship/Encouragement/Support.

Such a cute whale- colored awesomely, with the fun shaker background
What a fun little shaker card, Sue! That whale is too cute! Best of luck to your grandson, he'll love this!
Sue... the netting is cuch a cute touch!
Cute whale and the net is a really nice texture for the scene. Love that you included a shaker element too! He will really like this card!
I think this is a wonderful way to encourage your grandson as he opens a new chapter. Great sentiment. I love your whale with its white belly, and such a great idea to make it a shaker.
Your card is sweet, but even more sweet is that you've made it for your grandson. He'll so appreciate a little extra encouragement as he heads off on another of life's journeys. Delightful!

Your shaker card is delightful, Sue, and I'm sure it brought a smile to your grandson's face. What a great grandma you are.
So glad you entered your card of encouragement and support at Time Out! Thanks for playing with us!
