Boots in the Snow

Joining in on the Tagsplorations Challenge at STAMPlorations with the theme All About Winter.

Started by sponging some Weathered Wood Distress ink on the white die cut tag.  Stamped the puddle (the wrong side of one of the splatter stamps from Holiday Artsy) with more Weathered Wood and blending it with a water brush.  Used a stencil with a white Wink of Stella pen for the falling snow.  Stamped the boots from A Girl and Her Shoes, colored with Touch Twin markers and cut them out, then sprayed them with Triple Thick Clear Glaze giving them some shine.  Adhered the boots and stamped the sentiment in black ink.  Tied it off with some red ribbon.

The Twelve Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2018 - Day 5

This is for Day 5 at The Twelve Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2018 at Ellen Hutson's blog.
The featured artists for day 5 are the amazing Therese Calvird and Nicole Baez!

Also adding this to the STAMPlorations TAGplorations December Challenge All About Christmas.

This was a tough one to photograph!  The tag is die cut from some silver prism paper, very sparkly and holographic.  The tree from Stamplorations was die cut from some toner paper and foiled with some green fancy foil with lots of sparkle to it.  The sentiment from Tim Holtz was die cut from red glitter paper.  Used a red tinsel pipe cleaner to tie to the top of the tag.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it!

I am playing in the Stamps and Leaves May Challenge over at STAMPlorations

I started with a plain white piece of cardstock and sponged on some Memento New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves then stenciled over that with Memento Olive Grove.  Splattered some Heidi Swapp mist in Seafoam and some Tsukineko Walnut Ink in Eucalyptus.  The sentiment is from A Girl and her Shoes and the leaves are from Retro Mod Shapes.

Distress Ink Background

Playing with my new stencil from STAMPlorations and some Distress Inks.

Distress inks were swiped across my craft mat and misted with water, then placed my cardstock in the wet inks and swirled around.  After that had dried I taped off the stencil and sponged in some Memento Olive Grove ink.  The sentiment from STAMPlorations Chevron and Arrows was also stamped in Memento Olive Grove using my new MISTI.

I am entering this into the STAMPlorations challenges:  Sketch Challenge #26, January Challenge Stamps and Ink and Anything Goes.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Just Us Girls Challenge #265 - Word

This week's Word challenge at Just Us Girls is brought to us by Lisa and she has chosen the word - Wreaths!

We are proud to announce our Guest Designer for the entire month of November -  Tajanna!  Now come and check our what Tajanna and the rest of our Design Team has come up with.

This is the only wreath stamp I own and it is from Inkadinkado.  Stamped it with Memento Luxe Rhubarb Stalk and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  Colored in a few poinsettias with a Bundled Sage Distress marker and a water brush.  The green edges were done with a border punch.

I wanted to make a fall wreath, so I traced a circle with Antique Linen Distress Marker and stamped the little flowers in fall colors and hand drew the little leaves.  Added some yellow Wink of Stella to the flower centers.  Scored the edges of the white panel and mounted onto a Kraft base. All stamps are from STAMPlorations.

Now come play along with us at Just Us Girls for a chance to be chosen as our Chic of the Week, That would then put you in the running for a chance to become our next Guest Designer.  Please limit your entries to 3.  Looking forward to seeing all of your beautiful wreathes!

Bricks and Flowers

The October challenge at STAMPlorations is Stamps and Embossing

And for the Anything Goes Challenge using STAMPloration Stamps

Using STAMPlorations stamp sets Eclectic Florals and Grunge Floral Strips.  For the strips I stamped in Versamark and used Tim Holtz Distress embossing powder and on the flowers, also stamped with Versamark used WOW Warm Red embossing powder and heat embossed.  Stamped the stems with Memento Olive Grove. After embossing I noticed a speck of red on the background, so added some light splatters to hide it.  Used a Tim Holtz brick embossing folder for the background and rubbed Distress Inks Antique Linen and Vintage Photo with the ink pads direct to the background.  Added some pieces of a word window punch to the floral strips and some small punched circles that were smeared with Encore Bronze ink.

STAMPlorations Challenges

STAMPlorations challenge this month is Stamps and Markers

and the Bi-Weekly Sketch Challenge

First is for the Stamps & Markers Challenge.  I heat embossed the flower with white pearl ep then watercolored with Distress Markers.  Used pink Heidi Swapp Shine Spray on the panel behind the floral panel.  Lightly splattered some Spun Sugar Distress Ink and then lightly spritzed some clear shimmer spray.  Added a couple of photo corners and a couple of dots of pink Pearl Pen.

Now for the Sketch Challenge.  I stamped the flowers from Eclectic Florals, drew lines for stems and stamped the leaves (Retro Mod Shapes).  The sentiment is from Chevron and Arrows set.  Added some accents with Wink of Stella Markers.  Used my Air Vent die to cut the panel and a Spellbinders small scalloped border die on the sides.

Watercolored Flowers

I am joining in on the STAMPlorations Sketch Challenge

I started by stamping the Eclectic Florals flowers and jar with Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolor paper.  Then painted over the images with distress inks.  I like the way the flower on the left turned out much better than the one on the right.  I obviously need a lot more practice!  Used a stencil on the larger panel and misted with Heidi Swapp mist in coral.  Added the sentiment from Holiday Artsy.  Rounded the upper right corner due to a little bend in the cardstock.  All stamps by STAMPlorations.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #255

Lisa is our hostess this week at Just Us Girls for our Photo Week.  I love this photo with the rustic wagon and flowers.

Our talented August Guest Designer is with us again this week - Kristie Goulet.

And here is what I was inspired to create.

I was inspired by the rustic colors and the flowers.  The flowers and sentiment are from Gina K.  The flowers were colored with Touch Twin markers.  The Spellbinders die was inked around the edges, stamped with a canvas background stamp then threaded with cream floss.  The background is Core'dinations Shattered which has been distressed around the edges.

Come play along with us at Just Us Girls!

If you win Chic of the Week in any of our August challenges, you will be in the running to be our Guest Designer for the month of October.  Good luck!

I am also entering this in the STAMPlorations August Challenge - Stamps and Die Cuts.

STAMPlorations Sketch - Guest Designer

I am so excited!  I was asked to be a Guest Designer for the second time at STAMPlorations for winning one of their sketch challenges.  I just love their stamps, so trendy and fun.

Here is the current sketch

I used a stencil to make the striped panel with navy and aqua inks.  The large circle stain is a stencil from STAMPlorations and the smaller circle stains and ink swish is also STAMPlorations - Holiday Artsy (love this set).

Arrow Birthday

Playing with the sketch at STAMPlorations

Stamped the arrows from Chevron and Arrows by STAMPlorations with Hero Arts Tide Pool ink.  Stamped the rectangular piece from Retro Mod Shapes, also STAMPlorations, with Hero Arts Orange Soda and stamped the happy with VersaFine Onyx on a separate piece of white cs.  Added black gel pen dots around the circle, punched out a piece on the arrow panel and inlaid the happy circle.  Then stamped the birthday also in VersaFine Onyx.  The piece wasn't centered very well, so die cut it and layered it onto a white base.

Thanks for stopping by!

Dried with heat gun and added more Distress Stains in Peeled Paint and Broken China, then misted again. Heat gun again. Stamped the copper swipes and circle stains (Distress Inks). Added the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx after heat setting the copper.  All stamps used by STAMPlorations.

STAMPlorations Sketch Challenge #12

Playing along with the sketch challenge at STAMPlorations.  Their design team has some great samples for inspiration.

And also CASology with the Cue Card Flowers

I cut a piece of burlap paper by DCWV (it's paper backed burlap) and smeared a light layer of spackle then stamped the Retro Mod Shapes "flowers" with Memento Inks.  Forgot to leave room for the sentiment  on the burlap, so stamped it right below.  Added a couple fishtail tags and some orange Viva Decor Paper Pen pearls.
