Gina K Release Party Preview

I was so excited when Tami Mayberry asked me to be a Guest Designer for her new release this month!  Thank you so much Tami!  I was home recovering from an unexpected appendectomy, so I had plenty of time to play.

Sympathy Sketch

All edges were sponged with Memento Cantelope ink and the butterfly was cut out and covered with Crystal Stickles.

Monochromatic Thank You

I really like the clean and simple layout of the sketch challenge at Card Patterns this week:  http://cardpatterns.blogspot.com/2011/07/sketch-125.html

I chose various shades of peach, all by SU.  The rose is from Gina K A Year of Flowers designed by Melanie Muenchinger, one of my favorite sets.  The rose is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and watercolored with Twinkling H2Os in Creamsicle and Copper on Blush Blossom cs.  The scalloped edge was cut with a Nestabilities die and the ribbon is from my stash.  The sentiment is stamped in Memento Potter's Clay and is from the Gina K set Spring Mix.

Card Patterns Sketch 124

I flipped the sketch.  This is full of hints as to what dh's present is, the pennants the green background the tiger cat with sunglasses and the dead giveaway baseball in the center of the sentiment circle.  I gave him tickets to a Tiger's baseball game.

Mojo Monday Sketch #198

It's been a long time since I have posted anything, summer is just too busy. 
I really like the sketch at Mojo Monday this week  http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2011/07/mojo-monday-198-contest.html and now that my company has all gone home I finally had some time to stamp.

This is for 2 different challenges. Mojo Monday and Stamp TV.

The Grid dp, striped dp and small yellow checked dp are all freebie downloads.  The grid is from hp.com and the other 2 are from Two Peas In A Bucket.
I used a Spellbinders label die and sponged it while still in the frame with Memento Danube Blue and Paris Dusk.  Cut out the Happy Birthday (Memento Lady Bug) sentiment with a Grommet Tag also by Spellbinders and sponged with Memento Dandelion.  Cut the red and yellow banner strips with Spellbinders Pennants dies.  Adhered the grid dp to a Gina K Pure Luxury White card base and stamped with Gina K In Stitches in Paris Dusk.  Stamped the star from the Gina K set Stars with Memento Dandelion then colored with a Prismacolor marker to darken it up and punched out with a Fiskar's star punch.  Attached the Grommet Tag senitment with red eyelets.
