New Engagement

 We are so happy, our son is engaged to a beautiful young woman that we love with all of our hearts!  I needed a card for them and the sketch from Card Patterns seem to be just the thing.

I used Happy Hearts and Many Wishes by Gina K and an unknown, unmounted background stamp.  Stamped the hearts and the sentiment with VersaMark and heat embossed with silver ep.  Cardstock used:  Gina K Pure Luxury Mother of Pearl, Turquoise Sea and Bazzill textured silver.  My Big Shot's handle broke off, so I had to dig deep to find my Coluzzle templates, knife and foam cutting mat.  Also had to dig out the flourish punch for the swirly pieces.  Popped the hearts up on dimentionals and used an open scalloped border punch.  Added the strip of pearls to finish it off.

Square Sketch Challenge

Another sketch challenge at Moxie Fab World  http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2011/08/square-sketch-challenge-in-card-ideas.html

I have been wanting to use this fun cloud digi paper for quite a while and thought it was a perfect fit for the digi city image.  The buildings were colored with Prismacolor markers, cut out with a circle Nestabilities die and layered onto the Lotus Blossom Nesties die.  The sentiment is from an old SU set.

Moxie Fab

The shaped sketch:

I used Tami Mayberry's set Live Life Loud by Gina K Designs.  Cut out the plain and scalloped circles with Nesties.  The guitar was stamped with VersaMark on GKD Pure Luxury Passionate Pink and embossed with silver ep then cut out.  Card base is GKD lime.  Used my label maker for the sentiment. 

Next, I tried the Horizontal Sketch Challenge:

I used Melanie Muenchinger's set Gifts from the Sea and Tag You're It by GKD.  Stamped the squares with Memento Rich Cocoa on GKD PL Ivory and used a 1 1/4" punch to punch them out.  Next the shell, starfish and coral were stamped inside the squares.  The large shell was cut out and all were layered onto GKD PL Little Boy Blue and Chocolate Brown and placed on the Soft Sand card base  Sentiment from GKD Spring Mix was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.  The images were all colored with Prismacolor markers.

Theresa's Cone Flowers

Theresa Momber's latest set from Gina K Designs - Heartfelt has some really beautiful images and I just love these cone flowers.

The cone flowers were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black then colored with crimson, sunburst and cream Prismacolor markers on the petals.  The centers used limepeel, sienna and a touch of crimson.
Cut the image panel allowing the flowers and one leaf to be out of the box.  Sponged around the flowers with Vivid Taupe ink, layered onto Choc. Brown and Wild Dandelion by Gina K.  The 3 tabs are Choc Brown.  Printed the digi dp which has yellow, olive and a faint strip of red and layered onto the Wild Dandelion Base.
