Just Us Girls #481 - Wild Card Week

This month has a fifth week, so it's Wild Card Week at Just Us Girls!  I'm the hostess for this challenge and I want everyone to dig out their embossing folders!  I have so many embossing folders and hardly ever use them, so it's time to show them some love.

Since this is the last week of the month, it's our last week with our Guest Designer Greta Hess! Thank you Greta for joining us this past month with all of your fabulous creations!  Check out the JUGS Blog to see how Greta and the rest of the Design Team have used embossing folders on their creations.

I used a Tim Holtz brick ef with Core'dinations White Wash cardstock, sanding the bricks after embossing to reveal the kraft core.  Stamped some leaves across the top and added some Altenew poppies and the Reverse Confetti sentiment banner.

The minister's wife at our church has asked everyone to decorate one cross for use on the bulletin board and here is one of the 6 I have done. This was embossed with a lattice folder and sponged with Golden Glitz ink.  Added the sentiment from Gina K and the leaf die cuts.

Now it's your turn to share your embossing folder creations with us.  You could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Coral Cupcake

Another entry for the March Stamplorations CAS Card Challenge - Anything Goes with the optional twist of Coral Pink. and the Stamplorations Never-ending Anything Goes Challenge.

Stamped and colored the cupcake and decided to add some Stickles in punch to the frosting and yellow to the candle flame.  Die cut the oval and layered onto some white polka dotted coral patterned paper from my stash.  Stamped the sentiment in coral ink, punched it out with a word window punch and layered onto a banner die.

Thanks for dropping by!

Follow Your Heart

I recently got some new stamps from Stamplorations and found some time to play with them for the March Stamplorations CAS Card Challenge - Anything Goes with the optional twist of Coral Pink.

Stenciled the Stamplorations Hearts All Over stencil with coral ink onto some woodgrain patterned paper from my stash then while the stencil was still in place sprayed lightly with some coral shimmer mist.  Stamped the sentiment, also from Stamplorations with coral ink onto some kraft.  Die cut the sentiment with a heart die and sponged some brown ink around the edge of the heart.  Die cut the Clustered Hearts Die from coral cardstock and used a couple of the negative hearts and sprayed them with the coral shimmer mist as well.

Thanks for taking a look!

Just Us Girls #479 - Color Week

Check out this awesome color combination for our Color Week at Just Us Girls that Nancy has chosen for us to play with.

For inspiration, come visit the JUGS Blog to see what our Guest Designer, Greta Hess and the rest of the Design Team have created using this color palette.

I made this for my Aunt who is turning 95!  She is an amazing woman who is still going strong!  Used the image and sentiment both from different Gina K sets.  Colored the image with Touch Twin markers and layered onto a deep purple scalloped die cut.  Stamped the big flourish with teal ink onto the yellow polka dot patterned paper, but wasn't happy with the results, so used a teal gel pen to brighten the color.  Clear Glaze gel pen was also used on the sunglasses, headlights and front bumper of the car.

What do these colors inspire you to create?  Come  play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

More Shamrocks

Making another St. Patrick's Day card using the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!

Stamped various shamrocks from many Studio G stamps in Altenew Evergreen.  The green dots are from Ellen Hutson's Bokeh Dots.  Colored the little hearts in the larger shamrock with a gold gel pen and added some little dots of gold among the scattered shamrocks and green dots.  Layered onto a Gina K Christmas Pine card base.

Shamrocks

Using the Sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

And playing along with The Male Room challenge #106 - Gorgeous Greens!

Stamped the polka dot background with Sage Shadow ink on Sage Shadow cardstock, both by SU.  Stamped the stripes from Gina K's Ribbon Stripes in Altenew Forest Glades and the larger shamrocks from Gina K's Square Pegs in Altenew Evergreen.  The sentiment and smaller shamrocks are Studio G stamps using the same inks.  Layered onto some Gina K Christmas Pine and onto a white card base.  Added the little dots around the larger shamrocks with a green gel pen.

Thanks for taking a closer look!

Just Us Girls #478 - Trend Week

It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Bobby has chosen a fun trend of using a background stamp.

We have Greta Hess with us again this week as our Guest Designer!  Check out the JUGS blog to see how Greta and the rest of the amazing Design Team have used background stamps on their creations.

I pulled out one of the first background stamps I ever bought, it's a floral pattern from SU.  Inked the stamp with Memento teal ink and stamped onto some SU Sage Shadow.  Stamped the floral frame from Gina K with Versamark and heat embossed with Stampendous Aged Marine ep, heat embossed and die cut with the coordinating Spellbinders die.  This powder has bits of gold in it!  Stamped the sentiment inside the frame, then reverse masked off the white center and used a little script background stamp also from Gina K and stamped in Sage Shadow ink.  Layered onto a white piece and onto a Sage Shadow card base.

Now it's your turn to show us your creations using background stamps.  You could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #477 - Word Week

Time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls and it is Word Week with Vicki as our hostess and she has chosen the word "Birthday'!

It's the beginning of a new month, which means we have a new Guest Designer!  A big welcome to Greta Hess!  Check out the JUGS Blog to see all of the birthday creations by Greta and the rest of our amazing Design Team!

Die cut the stars and sprayed with yellow shimmer mist.  Stamped the fireworks with stars from Kitchen Sink Stamps in Brilliance Blue ink on the background.  Stamped the birthday on the white square and put everything together then stamped the birthday again to go over the star point.  Die cut the happy from some mirrored blue cardsotck.  Added a little Sakura Stardust blue gel pen to the little stars on the background to make them stand out a little more.

I used this week's sketch from  Freshly Made Sketches.

Come show us your Birthday creations and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.
