Just Us Girls #312 - Photo Week

Vicki has chosen an awesome photo for our inspiration this week at Just Us Girls!  I love the striking color combination and the mix of patterns.

What inspires you in the photo?  Come see how our Guest Designer - Melissa Dawn Lane and the rest of the JUGS Design Team were inspired.

It's obvious that I was inspired by the patterns and colors.  I stamped the striped background with Belts and Buckles by Stampendous using my MISTI to line it up. The striped stamp is only about an inch wide with 3 stripes.  Then stamped the Stampendous large flourish on top of the stripes.  Flower image and stamped label are by Gina K.  Stamped the black with white polka dots strip and layered it onto a strip of patterned paper from my stash.

Sketched Birthday Bird

Also, entering this in the Simon Monday Challenge to use a stamp.

I used a burst stencil sponged with Hero Arts Lime Green ink.  Then a reverse mask for the circle with Tim Holtz Squeezed Lemonade ink.   Bird is from Tim Holtz Bird Crazy and coordinating die colored with Touch Twin markers.  Added the die cut glasses.

Neon Rock

The challenge at The Male Room is to use Neon Colours.

The stars were stenciled with Brilliance Yellow ink and the arrow border steniciled with Hero Arts Neon Orange ink.  The splatter is a WPlus9 stamp using Hero Arts Neon Blue ink.  The drum set and sentiment are by Gina K and stamped with Versafine Onyx ink.

Just Us Girls #311 - Color Week

This week it is time to play with some colors at Just Us Girls!  Maria has chosen some beautiful fall colors for us.

The big flower from Stampendous was heat embossed with white ep and colored first with Inktense watercolor pencils and then Twinkling H2Os.  Added some rusty orange splatters.  Added the sentiment on a strip of vellum.

Just Us Girls #310 - Trend Week

It's time for Trend Week at Just Us Girls, challenging us to try out one of the current trends we are all seeing!  Cheryl has chosen a fun one this week - Balloons!

We have Melissa Dawn Lane with us again this week as our September Guest Designer!  Come see what Melissa and the rest of the JUGS Design Team have done with Balloons this week!

The balloons were stamped with Hero Arts Shadow Inks in Lime Green, Tide Pool and Pool.  Happy was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with lime ep on top of the balloon strings. Birthday stamped with Memento Nautical Blue ink.  Stamps by WPlus9 and Avery Elle.

Just Us Girls #309 - Word Week

It's Word Week at Just Us Girls and Lisa has chosen the word "Apple".  This is so perfect for the upcoming season.

I would like to welcome our September Guest Designer - Melissa Dawn Lane!  Hop on over to Just Us Girls to see how Apple has inspired Melissa and the rest of the JUGS Design Team.

I used images from Gina K on the tag and colored them with Touch Twin markers.  The little stars on the tag were stamped with Brilliance yellow ink and the background flourish by Kitchen Sink Stamps with Memento Nautical Blue..  The large die cut stars are covered with clear Wink of Stella.
