Just Us Girls #404- Wild Card Week

It's Wild Card Week at Just Us Girls!  This happens whenever there is a fifth Saturday in a month.  Ina has chosen a great challenge for us this week - Old and new !

 This is our last week with Aileen Ryan with us as our Guest Designer, and I would like to thank her for playing along with us and sharing all of her amazing creations this past month!!

For my old, I used an old Stampin Up set for the tree and I also have had the sentiment for a little white.  For my new, I used my new Distress Oxide inks for the background.  The tree was stamped with brown ink and then I used a green gel pen to color the leaves.

Playing in a couple of challenges.  First is CAS(E) this Sketch!

And one more, Mix It Up Challenge - Anything goes with the twist of distressing

I used a star cut from yellow glitter cardstock instead of the square.  Stamped a striped smaller star, cut it out and covered it with some gloss.  Embossed the brick background on some Core'dinations Kraft Core then sanded the raised bricks and smeared some Distress Oxide ink for some more dimension.  After that dried I lightly smeared some white pigment ink and then sponged the edges with Distress Black Soot ink.  Then sentiment was stamped with red dye ink.

Just Us Girls #403 - Photo Week

It's Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Bobby has chosen a perfect photo for our inspiration!

 

Once again we have the amazing Aileen Ryan with us as our Guest Designer!  Come on over to see what Aileen and the rest of the JUGS Design Team have created with this photo as inspiration.

I started out with the little watermelon image and made a border then colored them with Touch Twin Markers.  Stamped, colored and cut out the picnic basket and added it to the circle that was first sprayed with shimmer mist and then inked through a stencil.  I just had to add the little ant down in the corner.

Just Us Girls #402 - Color Week

It's Color Week at Just Us Girls and Nancy has chosen some very pretty colors for us to work with.

We have with us again this week, Aileen Ryan our June Guest Designer!  Check out the JUGS blog to see some awesome creations that Aileen and the rest of the Design Team have made.

The blues really are a closer made in real life than how they appear in the photo!  I used some Concord & 9th stamps and a couple of Reverse Confetti dies.

Just Us Girls #401 - Trend Week

Nancy is our hostess this week at Just Us Girls for Trend Week!  She has chosen Ink Blending which can be seen all over Blogland right now!

We have with us again this week, Aileen Ryan our June Guest Designer!  Check out the JUGS blog to see some awesome Ink Blending by Aileen and the rest of the talented Design Team.

The background is sponged and blended with a combination of Distress Oxide and Distress Inks.  Stamped the flag stick with black ink and stamped the flag on some white cardstock and colored with Touch Twin markers and add the 19 with Concord & 9th stamps.  Stamped the sentiment on some kraft and die cut.  Added a strip of washi tape.

It's our 400th Challenge at Just Us Girls and it's time to Celebrate!  Vicki is our hostess this week and that is exactly what her Word is.  So let the Celebration begin.  We have 2 companies which are offering up prizes this week which makes it even more special.

I started with the Tim Holtz sunburst stamp with Memento Luxe Dandelion ink, stamping the top half in my MISTI, then flipping the card around and stamped again on the bottom half.  Stamped the big Celebrate with red ink and added 3 stars (which are are to see here) die cut from white glitter paper.
