Just Us Girls #443 - Word Week

It's Word Week Challenge time at Just Us Girls and it's my turn to choose the word and I have chosen the word "Outside".  This leaves a lot of room for interpretation!  Think of anything that is literally Outside or and image that runs outside of the frame which could be stamped or die cut.

I would like to welcome our June Guest Designer, Hannelie Bester!  Come on over to JUGS to see how Hannelie and the rest of the amazing Design Team have interpreted this weeks Word Challenge.

I used my new hydrangea stamp from Gina K, which flowers are outside and cut the panel by using my paper cutter up to the edges of the flowers and leaves, then fussy cut around then so that the image runs out of the box.  I used Distress Inks to watercolor the image and then added some yellow gel pen dots to the center of the flowers.  Layered onto a piece of gray and white polka paper.  Stamped the lacy border, also from Gina K with black ink on some old Vintage Violet that I have hoarded from Stampin Up.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3!

Gorgeous card Sue. Love hydrangeas and your colour choice. Great layout especially the lace border.

I've always loved that technique of having the partial die cut (or in your case fussy cut) flowers hanging off the side, Sue. They look wonderful against the polka dots and your coloring of the hydrangea is lovely.

Apologies for my late visit; it's one of those hectic here-there-and-everywhere kind of weeks that I think will extend throughout the summer!
Lovely hydrangeas, made all the more eye-catching with your fabulous 'outside the edge' fussy cutting! The lattice border and polka dots add to the impact!
