Just Us Girls #465 - Word Week

It's my turn to be hostess at Just Us Girls for Word Week and my Word is "Music".  Music is very versatile, you could use it for sympathy, birthday, Christmas or just about any occasion!

I'd like to welcome our November Guest Designer - Claire Garland!  Come on over to the JUGS Challenge Blog to see how Claire and the rest of the amazing Design Team have been inspired by the word Music!

I knew I wanted to use my brand new Gina K music background stamp and I combined it with a couple of older Gina K Sets.  Stamped the musical background in Memento Rich Cocoa on kraft.  Die cut the circle and inked the edge with Antique Linen and Walnut Stain Distress Inks.  Stamped the trees and the deer over the music using Memento Bamboo Leaves and using a brown marker for the trunks of the trees and the deer in Memento Espresso Truffle.  The sentiment is from Tim Holtz stamped in Memento Northern Pine ink, die cut and inked around the edges just like the circle.  Added a piece of Gina K Blizzard patterned paper, sponging the edges with Memento Rich Cocoa and layered onto a piece of SU Crumb Cake.

Come share your creations with us at JUGS and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

I love the distressed feel of this card and the music just works so well with the serene deer. It's a wonderful traditional Christmas card. Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment, I appreciate your kindness x
