Just Us Girls #494 - Wild Card

It's a bonus 5th week at Just Us Girls and that means it's time for our Wild Card Challenge!  Ina is our hostess this week and she has chosen to challenge us to make a Fancy Fold Card.

I went pretty basic with this sympathy card.  Used some Gina K stamps and some Spellbinders dies.  The label was stamped with Gina K Amalgam ink in black then colored with Touch Twin markers.  Stamped the sentiment in Memento Elderberry ink.  Used a stencil and Distress Oxide ink in Peeled Paint for a subtle background.

It's time for our Photo Week Challenge at Just Us Girls and Lisa has chosen a fabulous photo for our inspiration!

Using these cocktail birds from Inkadinkado.  Colored with Touch Twin markers and gel pens.  Added some shimmer to the cocktails with a Tonic clear shimmer pen.  Pulled some random pieces of patterned paper from my vast stash picking up some of the colors from the image.

It's time for Color Week at Just Us Girls and Carol has chosen a very fun challenge for us.

Playing with my large alpha stamps again and so easy to line up using my MISTI.  The background is a Turnabout stamp from Concord & 9th using 3 shades of blue.. The diaper pins are from a Gina K set, Oh Baby!, I cut them out and clipped then together.

Just Us Girls #491 - Trend Week

It's time again for our Trend Week Challenge at Just Us Girls and and our girl Bobby has chosen Texture Paste!

Once again, we have our talented June Guest Designer Marlena McDeavitt with us.  Hop on over to the JUGS blog to see how Marlena and the rest of the amazing Design Team have used Texture Paste in their creations.

I just recently got my hands on some of the new Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel and this was the perfect opportunity to crack it open,  I had this dragonfly stencil that I purchased at a local craft store and used the Glitz Glitter Gel in black on some turquoise cardstock.  I had the striped foiled panel which was foiled with Gina K turquoise ThermoWeb foil.  Matted the two panels with black.  Stamped the sentiment from my very first Gina K set which I don't remember the name of, but thought the sentiment was perfect for a graduation card.

Just Us Girls #490 - Word Week

It's time for Word Week at Just Us Girls and it's my turn to be hostess of this challenge.  Since I have been digging through all of my older stamps and supplies the word Retro came to mind.

Since this is the first week of the month, that means a new Guest Designer!  I would like to welcome, Marlena McDeavitt who is joining us for the month of June!  Come on over to JUGS to see all of the Retro creations by Marlena and the rest of the amazing Design Team.

Using an old Gina K set, So Groovy, paper pieced the bus with some DCWV retro paper.  Stamped the background with the flowers and peace signs from the same set.  Matted the image and adhered to the base.  Stamped the sentiment in black.
