Just Us Girls #500 - Trend Week

It's our 500th challenge at Just Us Girls!!!  Vicki is our hostess and has chosen a fun trend for us, Circles!  Not only a challenge this week, but we have 3 awesome sponsors with prizes up for grabs!

Come on over to JUGS to see what our Guest Designer, Tristan Dawes and the rest of the amazing Design Team have created with Circles.

I needed a graduation card and used blue and yellow since these are the school colors of the recipient's high school.  Started out by using a Concord & 9th Turnabout stamp in blue and yellow, the yellow didn't show up very well, so restamped the yellow dots with Versamark and heat embossed with yellow ep.  Stamped the Studio G sentiment on yellow and heat embossed with blue ep, die cut with a circle die and adhered it in the center.  Die cut a circle from a blue panel and placed the sentiment layer behind that.  It needed a little something more, so die cut the pointed circles 2 times from yellow cardstock and attached to the outer edge of the large circle staggering them.  Placed it all together on a yellow card base.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week AND also for a chance to win one of the awesome prizes we have this week!  If  chosen as our Chic of the Week, that would put you in the running at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Awesome use of the colors. I am jealous you actually got the Navy to look Navy! Mine always looks black...

What a cool card! I love the dots and the embossed ones too! And that pointed circle layered twice is so cool!

Putting that spiked rim around the circle really amped up the design, Sue.
