Cool Watercolor

I have been making thank you cards for everyone that has shown kindness to me after breaking my elbow.  My card was inspired by CAS Watercolour Card Challenge and CAS(E) this Sketch!

Started by stamping the butterfly and heat embossing with black ep on watercolor paper.  Watercolored the butterfly with Twinkling H2Os in purples.  Covered the butterfly with Tim Holtz Distress Micro Glaze.  Spritzed the entire background with water and added some Distress Inks in blue and purple with a waterbrush that had been watered down to add some subtle color.  After it was dry, stamped the script.  Stamped the sentiment onto a light purple scrap and die cut with a banner die.  All stamps are from Gina K.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

Lovely, lovely card Sue! Your butterfly is SO pretty and I can just imagine the shimmer from the Twinkling H2O's! And your background is just as lovely with watered down Distress Inks and the script. Thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us at CAS Watercolour!! :0)

What a wonderful butterfly, Sue! I love the soft color and the even softer wash in the background! The script makes a perfect place for the butterfly to perch! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour!
