Hearts

Playing along with the  Twofer Card Challenge with the prompt of Hearts.   And one of the two cards follows the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch!, the Anything Masculine Goes at The Male Room and Clean and Simple at Cardz 4 Guyz.

I used a hearts set from Gina K.  First cut the kraft panel for the baby card and die cut a rectangle out of the center.  Using my MISTI lined up the small polka dot heart so that it would stamp just the top part of the heart to create a scalloped border stamped in Hero Arts Tide Pool ink.  Stamped the sentiment on some ivory and adhered behind the kraft panel and then onto the Turquoise Sea card base.  Stamped a couple of the other hearts, cut them out and added to the card.  The second card a Valentine uses another heart in the same set.  Stamped the heart with red ink, masked it off, stamped the dotted rectangle piece with gray ink, masked that off then stamped the splatters in a slightly darker gray ink.  Removed all the masks and stamped the sentiment in black and added some red gel pen onto the little heart above the i.

What do you think?  Thanks for dropping by!

Isn't it amazing how the different coloured hearts give such a different feel to each card?! I love the patterned blue ones on your sweet baby card and then the temperature ramps right up on your sizzling valentine! Vicky x

Two fab cards, such a contrast between the cool blue of the baby card and the hot red of the Valentine.
Thanks for sharing the Valentine with us at Cardz4Guyz. :)

These are both beautiful and so very different from each other. The Valentine card is my favourite, I love the impact it has and the fact it is romantic without being mushy.

I think these are dynamite cards, Sue! How clever of you to use the heart tops to make a bold scallop edge border on your baby card! I never would have thought of that! And talk about a great take on a sketch, your Valentine literally rocked the CTS completely! Love the sweet dot over the i! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer's 2nd Blogaversary challenge!
