Just Us Girls #577 - Photo Week

 It's the fourth week of the month and that means it's time for Photo Week at Just Us Girls!  Vick is our hostess and has chosen this awesome spring photo for our inspiration!

Sadly, it's also our last week with our fabulous Guest Designer, Shawna Standish.  A huge thank you to Shawna for joining us this past month and sharing her awesome talent with us.  Hop on over to JUGS to see all of the amazing creations that were inspired by the photo by Shawna and the rest of the Design Team.

I was totally inspired by the tulips and colors.  I used Gina K's  Spring Basket.   Using my MISTI I stamped the floral image and then flipped the panel upside down and stamped it again leaving a white space in the middle for the sentiment.  Die cut the happy and then covered it with Nuvo drops in black for some shine.  Taped off the sentiment and stamped only the Easter and punched out with a word window punch, adhered with some foam dots and added a couple of black Nuvo drops on the ends. 

I had to do one more.  I had this large dotted circle with the flourish in it and knew I had to ink it up with Hero Arts Lime Green Shadow ink.  Stamped the happy and Easter with Versafine black ink.  Added the tulips, from Gina K's A Year of Flowers and colored with Touch Twin markers and added the stems and leaves..

CAS on Friday Challenge #201 - Music

Lots of masking on this!  Using Gina K stamps stamped the guitar and heat embossed with clear.  Masked the guitar and stamped the flourish/flower image then stamped the rectangular image.  Masked off the rectangular piece and stamped the music score three time with spaces between them to match up to the sketch.  Die cut the you twice in black and once with Glitter Silk white, layered together with the black lined up as a shadow effect.  Stamped the rock! in black and cut it out and layered beneath the you.

Just Us Girls #576 - Color Week

 It's time for Color Week at Just Us Girls and Nancy has chosen an awesome color combo for us to play with!

Using an old Gina K set, Hang in There.  Colored the image with Touch Twin markers and fussy cut.  Adhered to a yellow polka dot panel and onto a gray striped piece.  Stamped the sentiment on white in a dark gray and adhered to another piece of the gray striped paper.

Just Us Girls #575 - Trend Week

 It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Bobby is challenging us to use an embossing folder!

Check out JUGS to see how our Guest Designer, Shawna Standish and the rest of the fabulous Design Team have used embossing folders.

Using Core-dinations Kraft Core cardstock run thought my Big Shot with a brick embossing folder.  Sanded the raised bricks to reveal the Kraft core.  Stamped some flourishes with Versafine black ink.  Stamped the sentiment with the same ink and die cut with a fishtail die.  Added some teal colored gel pen to some of the flourishes.  Covered a small heart with Nuvo drops then layered onto a kraft card base.

Just Us Girls #574 - Word Week

 It's the first week of the month, which means it's time for Word Week at Just Us Girls!  Ina is our hostess and she has chosen Animal/Animals!

I would like to welcome our March Guest Designer, Shawna Standish!  Check out JUGS to see all of the Animal creations by Shawna and the rest of the amazing Design Team!

This cool cat has been in my collection for quite some time and I do not remember who he is by.  Colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The image does have sunglasses on him, but I decided to die cut a new pair and add mirrored silver lenses.  Added the sentiment from an old WPlus9 set and matted onto some diagonal striped cardstock printed from MelStampz and then on to a white card base.

Hogs & Kisses

Using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for this one layer card I made for my sweet aunt.

Stamped the piggy, then stamped the frame around him using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Colored the pig with Prismacolor pencil in Peach.  Masked the little pig and taped off the edges of the frame and stamped the grass in Memento Bamboo Leaves.  Masked the whole square stamped area and stamped the stripped border in Hero Arts Fresh Peach.  Finished off  stamping the sentiment in Memento Olive.  Frame, pig, grass and sentiment by Gina K and striped by unknown.
